Coastal Kids Pediatrics - Irvine

I made an appointment here primarily to see if I could find a provider who would help me with my sons eczema. When I made the appointment I told them hes not vaccinated.. no apparent issue there. When I showed up they asked me for his vaccine records so I told them again he has none. They then proceeded to refuse to see us because of this. Pretty ridiculous and a waste of my time. We were in the healthy kids waiting room with NOBODY there so their excuse of not wanting to expose anyone was downright stupid. Let me get this straight... Youre afraid of my son spreading diseases to people who are supposedly protected from such diseases already Make it make sense. People have completely lost their common sense today.

This clinic is decent the service is also decent. They are not as helpful when your children are sick. They dont even give any medicine as we were given at the newport location. The coastal kids in Newport is better. They have pediatricians who are more professional and care about the children. This place is only fine for vaccines but not for any other services. They take the longest time to find a speech therapist. They lost my sons x-ray and never gave us the results or ever called us back. I had to call them multiple times asking for speech therapist and x-ray results.

My child is now 2 years old and has been getting check-ups here since birth. Every time I go the staff are always so friendly and take good care of the kids. Especially my childs doctor Jane Kim is a good and nice doctor. Always check my childs growth in detail. I highly recommend this hospital to people with children.

Excellent office staff we have been going here for almost 8 years they have always been able to accommodate us for sick appointments. Dr Kornu is a great doctor she is very caring and great with kids. Ive seen other doctors too when my kids have been sick and they have all been great.

Both of our kids are under the care of Dr. Kim at the Irvine location. Shes really wonderful as well as the other nurse practitioners and doctors here at this location. When theyre sick unfortunately have to accommodate whatever appointments Coastal Kids has at their other locations but we have nothing but high praises and are thankful and blessed to have Coastal Kids as our go to pediatric care

I highly recommend Coastal Kids Irvine. The person who took my initial call was friendly patient and polite. They made scheduling easy and left a reminder call a couple of days before the appointment. The facility was very clean. The ladies at the front desk were busy but attentive. Dr. Bui was fabulous and answered all our questions. The rapport with my child was empathetic and friendly which is a good approach. The nurses made the atmosphere casual. It was a nice change of scenery far from the cold and distant feel of an institution. Thank you Dr. Bui.

We have been attending Coastal Kids for 2 years now both my children see Dr Kim and she is amazing. Also the nurse practitioners are always so positive and treat my children with such kindness and care.I book all my appointments with Dr Kim in advance for well visits so I dont have any issues with availability. For last minute sick visits it will be difficult to get your doctor of choice as they can be booked out however it is generally easy to get an appointment with another doctor at this location or another Coastal Kids location. All the doctors are experts and thats all you really need when a child is sick. Also they make good notations on their computer system and Dr Kim is aware of any illnesses my children may have had between appts with her. I strongly recommend Coastal Kids everyone there will treat your kids very well.

Ive been calling for two days for someone to call me back for my daughters test results. Every time Ive call they keep telling me that some is going to call me before the end of the day and they never do. Ive called them them 4 times and I get the same response. They tried to lie to me and say that someone called twice and left me a VM when they only left me one VM and I had called them back 7 mins after they had just called. Terrible service

In the past Ive had to reschedule my daughters appointments with her pediatrician twice with only one weeks notice due to unexpected unavailability on the part of Dr. Lee. Its worth noting that these appointments were scheduled six months in advance.During one of these rescheduled appointments a different doctor filled in for Dr. Lee and there was some confusion regarding Dr. Lees notes. Specifically it was unclear whether certain vaccinations had been administered or not. Unfortunately despite these concerns I havent received the clarity I was hoping for and it feels like weve been passed around from one person to another.

We love our Dr. However having a good Dr means nothing if you cant see her when kids actually get sick. This place used to be good a few yrs ago when we first started going was able to see the Dr for sick visits but now theyve grown so much they exceeded their capability that we could never see the Dr when kids get sick.This is an update.I feel like the service here has gotten worse I had to call multiple times to get a flu shot appt and each time I waited 20 minutes I even requested a call back and never got a call back.My son was recently sick and again couldnt see the primary saw a different dr and she told me to follow up with his primary the next day since she knows the history my son has asthma induced by sickness and had a bad symptoms anyways she was not available for next 3 days we checked so I ended up seeing other dr hes never seen. His symptoms got worse and I called and left a msg for a nurse to call back and I never got a call back.
