Melanie Clark Thornberry is a native of Danville, Kentucky. She is a graduate of Danville High School, Centre College, and Salmon P Chase College of Law at Northern Kentucky University. She was admitted to practice law in Kentucky in 2005. From 2005 through 2012 she practice law with her father, Merle Clark, as a member of Clark Law Firm, PLLC. Upon Merle Clark’s retirement from the practice of law at the end of 2012, Melanie joined the firm of Sheehan, Barnett, Dean, Pennington, Little, & Dexter, PSC, where she practiced law from 2013 through 2018. On February 1, 2019, she opened her own law office, Clark Law Firm, PLLC, at 145 N. Third Street, Danville, Kentucky, where she was previously located with her father (who remains retired and is not associated with the newly organized firm). Melanie concentrates her practice of law in the areas of real estate law, general business law, estate planning, probate & estate administration, zoning & land use law, and general civil litigation as it relates to those areas as well as guardianship, disability, and collections. In addition to her law practice, Melanie serves as the Trial Commissioner in Boyle and Mercer counties.
