Introduction

My name is Christy Harden, and I’m a holistic speech-language pathologist based in Austin, Texas. I work with both children and adults across a range of communication needs. I bring an integrative perspective to my work, shaped by nearly three decades of clinical experience across settings and age groups, along with my background in health coaching and the broader wellness space. I consider the whole person, weaving together communication, health, and daily life so therapy is practical, grounded, and truly meaningful. My approach is structured but fun, individualized, and rooted in lasting growth. When I’m not working, you can find me reading, writing, or spending time with my daughter digging for beetles in the garden.

If I had to choose three words to describe myself, they might be thoughtful, attuned, and creative. I think deeply about the work I do and care deeply about the people I serve, always looking beyond surface patterns to understand what’s truly happening. I stay attuned to subtle shifts in communication, regulation, and confidence, which helps me tailor therapy in real time. And I bring creativity into sessions so that growth is enjoyable, engaging, personalized, and alive rather than mechanical.

Who are you best positioned to serve?

I enjoy working with children and adults across the lifespan as they build stronger, more confident communication. I have a particular depth of experience in articulation, voice (I am also a certified PhoRTE provider for aging voice), fluency, and social communication, including pragmatic language work with individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Level 1, and am equipped to support clients across a broad range of communication needs. Bringing an integrative lens to therapy and considering the whole person and the broader context of daily life, I value close collaboration with families where appropriate, and aim to create activities and shape progress in meaningful, functional, and relevant ways that meet each client where they are as we co-create individualized success trajectories.
