Introduction
Hi, I’m Christine Scalise, a speech-language pathologist, Certified Brain Injury Specialist (CBIS), and VITAAL-K Dyslexia Provider with 18 years of total clinical experience. I work with children, teens, and adults across the lifespan through warm, neuroaffirming teletherapy in Texas and California. I support speech sounds, language, literacy and decoding, attention, executive-function skills, social communication, stuttering, and communication changes after concussion or brain injury. My approach is strengths-focused, practical, and collaborative, with strategies that fit real school, home, work, and daily-life demands.
What words would you use to describe yourself?
I’d describe myself as curious, compassionate, and practical. I like getting to know what is making communication or learning feel difficult and finding supports that actually make sense for that person’s life. I aim to make sessions feel welcoming, collaborative, and useful—not stressful or overly clinical. Families and clients often appreciate that I explain things clearly and offer strategies they can use between sessions, whether that is at school, at work, at home, or in everyday conversations.
Who are you best positioned to serve?
I am especially well positioned to support children, teens, and adults with speech sound differences, language and literacy needs, decoding or spelling challenges, attention and executive-function differences, social communication goals, stuttering, and memory, attention, organization, or communication changes after a concussion or brain injury. I enjoy working with neurodivergent clients and families who want collaborative, strengths-based support. Because I provide teletherapy, I may not be the best fit for people who need hands-on feeding or swallowing treatment, or services best delivered through frequent in-person, multidisciplinary support.
