Introduction
Hi! I’m Christie, a licensed pediatric speech therapist and founder of Monsoon Speech Therapy, where I help children communicate confidently and joyfully. I provide evidence-based speech and language services for early childhood development, expressive/receptive language needs, apraxia, and autism communication in environments where your child feels most comfortable — at home, daycare, preschool, or online. I believe every child learns best when they feel safe, regulated, and engaged. I’d love to support your family on your communication journey!
What words would you use to describe yourself?
Compassionate
Intentional
Playful
Three words that describe me are compassionate, intentional, and playful. I’m compassionate because I truly care about each child and family I work with, and I prioritize building trust and emotional safety first. I’m intentional in how I plan therapy, using evidence-based strategies tailored to each child’s unique strengths, needs, and environment. I’m playful because children learn best through connection and joy—therapy should feel engaging, motivating, and fun while still supporting meaningful communication growth.
Who are you best positioned to serve?
I am best positioned to serve toddlers and children who benefit from individualized, play-based speech and language therapy. I work closely with children with speech delays, expressive and receptive language needs, early social communication differences, autism, and apraxia of speech. I also support families who value a neurodiversity-affirming, relationship-based approach and want therapy embedded into real-life routines at home, school, or daycare. I especially enjoy partnering with caregivers to create meaningful, lasting communication progress.
