5 star for the Nurses and Doctor2 star for the cleanliness of the facilitiesBeing in an emergency situation or unknown outcome with your child is the most stressful experience any parent goes through. The staff here at C.H.O.A make that experience less painful. They do their best with the influx of patients they are seeing. Their triage team was fast and efficient. Our experience with ALL of the nurses and doctors was fantastic. Everyone was kind gentle and caring towards us and our son. Everyone got us triaged in a reasonable time and then medication admitted soon after. The facilities do not match the quality of care these nurses and doctors put into the care of their patients. The waiting area and exam room were dirty in appearance. My husband and I were questioning if it appears this dirty in the 2 rooms what the quality of care would be if our son would get even more sick from being here we hope our son wouldnt need an IV catheter or any invasive procedures in fear of sterility.

Ive had 1 great experience here for this too be a childrens hospital some of the nurses not all but SOME doesnt have the right mindset for seeking after our childchildren Signing in is always a pleasure clinical 1 young lady doesnt like too wear gloves ALWAYS on her phone and once I got in the back the male nurse didnt warn me how he was about too do to my child and of course I feel like he violated my child Ive received some unpleasant customer service in many places but repeatedly in a CHILDRENs HOSPITAL is a total discuss

Unprofessional and non communicative staff. Waited for 6 hours for assistance with my daughters dislocated shoulder. She was in extreme pain and discomfort for hours. With little help. I will never bring my child or children back here.

I will never go to this hospital again. I do not care what time of day it is or if its the last hospital in GA that will accept children I would drive to Alabama or South Carolina to have my children seen.I arrived at the hospital early morning 130am on 11624. My son had a fever of 102 and I gave him Motrin before taking him to the hospital but my concern was his eye swelling on top of his fever hes had the past 48 hours consistently at 102.Nevertheless my son and I waited at this hospital for 4 hours and still no rooms were available to be seen no doctors on call to take on patients. I was told EMS patients took up all of the rooms. Its now 5am sun is rising people getting ready for work. I asked the lady who takes people vitals to take his temp and his temp was 99.5 considered not a fever in their books. So I waited 30 more minutes and still nobody came to get us its now 530am. I left the hospital with my son and monitored him at home. God forbid if my asthmatic son would have went home with a 99.5 temp and it spiked back up to 102 causing him to have a seizure. Thankfully Ive managed to get advice from his pediatrician at 6 in the morning on how to properly care for him at home. Please avoid taking your child here. Take them somewhere but dont take them here.

They did my baby well here. My 1 year old had a seizure and child hospital of Atlanta Egleston did nothing but sent us home. When we got home he had another seizure hours later. I requested for the ambulance to take us elsewhere. They bought us to Hughes. It was the most amazing experience I felt like they treated my baby as if it was there own. The nurses down to the doctors get a 10 star in my book. Thank you so much for the car youll gave to my baby.

The nurses and doctors were great. They all treated us with respect and were very thorough and knowledgeable. Tadiya a nurse at the desk was very kind and gave us coffee for our long way home at 4am. Very kind and compassionate.

I arrived at the ER at 540am due to my son having a fever of 103.7.. I went to the Childrens Healthcare of Atlanta website to see the wait times and out of all the ERs this location had the shortest wait time and I see why.. getting back to the room was quick however the nurse that came in seems as if she didnt want to be there. The doctor came in and I expressed my concerns about my son. She stated that she was going to run some test including blood work. My son is Autistic and doesnt speak well and I told her that he will not let them do the blood draw but she insisted. First and foremost to get my son urine they had to use a catheter and they did not let the lidocaine set in before they shoved it down my sons urethra tube. The blood draw was a disaster blood was running down my son had until I told them to stop. Both times he was screaming bloody murder. My son is traumatized. The doctor came in still insisting on doing the blood draw and I said no. They collected the urine and swab of his throat and nose.. waited forever for the results to be told that the tests are done but they were waiting on someone to come give me the results at this point its almost 11am.. Im tired my son is exhausted so I left. I do not recommend that anyone take their child to this location.. very unprofessional and do not care. I truly regret taking my son there and putting him through that whole ordeal to not even get results from his test.
