Beaming Review
WARNING SURPRISE BILLING! Extremely disappointed. We took my daughter to the after hours urgent care there after she came home from her first day of daycare lethargic and throwing up. During our visit, I was given Pedialyte to give her and sent home. When we left we were told this was an urgent care visit and we have a $25.00 copay. Months later to my surprise we received a bill in the mail for ten times the amount we were told while at the urgent care. After months of calling their billing department and told it was filed to our insurance incorrectly and would be taken care of, we were still getting this large bill from Children's. After spending hours calling their billing department and trying to get this resolved, there has been no resolution to get this billed correctly as an urgent care visit.
This seems like the definition of Colorado's no surprise billing. I do not understand how this hospital can advertise that they have an urgent care, classify our visit as an urgent care visit, tell us its a $25 co-pay and then bill us for 10x the amount.
A year prior we took my son to this same Urgent Care on a Sunday because our pediatrician office was closed. We were in the same urgent care side of Children's and received the $25 urgent care co-pay when the bill came in the mail. Same visit, same urgent care, same insurance a year apart, and we receive ten times the amount after visiting Children's urgent care with my daughter this time around.
BEWARE of this place!!! If you are desperate like we were and needing your child to be seen because your regular pediatrician office is closed, think twice before going here. If you have a $25 urgent care co-pay you WILL NOT BE BILLED FOR AN URGENT CARE VISIT. You are better off going to regular urgent care.
I am so disappointed that I will never to go this urgent care again. How are you able to say you are an urgent care and then bill the visit as something else?! My daughter received Pedialyte that I administered to her, this seems beyond excessive and is extremely disappointing to parents that just want to make sure their kids are okay and have limited options after hours.

Frequently Asked Questions
Your pediatrician might be able to administer screenings, but most general doctors are not trained to formally diagnose autism. They might refer you to a qualified diagnostic clinician which include:
Developmental Pediatricians
Child Psychologists
Child Psychiatrists
Pediatric Neurologists
Pediatric Neuropsychologists
Your experience might look different depending on the type of clinician you choose. Many families prefer working with developmental pediatricians. Others might work with a psychiatrist or another specialist to get a different perspective.
A formal ASD diagnosis, or a medical diagnosis, helps you get the support your family needs, especially within the context of accessing medically necessary therapies and services.
Insurance Coverage for Therapies: Medically necessary therapies for ASD are often covered by insurance including, but not limited to, speech therapy, ABA therapy, and occupational therapy.
Financial Support: A diagnosis is required when applying for social security or disability benefits.
Plan for Care: A diagnosis helps identify your child’s support needs. For example, your child might need to develop social communication and self-regulation skills.
Future Research: The more data we gather through evaluations, the more we can improve services for autistic children and adults.
Most children go to daycare before they enter preschool at age 3 or 4. Most children stop daycare at the age of 6 when they go to school. Children who are homeschooled might continue daycare programs. Kids diagnosed with autism or other developmental disabilities might be in both daycare and therapy programs longer. Special needs programs and centers help children up to 26 years old.
One of the best things you can do is to have a conversation with the daycare staff. Share details about your child’s autism diagnosis, strengths, and challenges. Building open lines of communication will help you work together to support your child’s needs. Prepare the daycare provider to work with your child with a physical guidebook. This guidebook can include all of your child’s favorite things and how to calm them down. You might already have one ready from your experience with babysitters or teachers!
