Founding Story

Children Making Strides was founded on one mother’s passionate dream: to give her son with ASD the support he needed to succeed. Back in 1997 when resources were limited, CMS introduced parents to a novel form of early intervention that was just gaining momentum. Our dedicated professionals have served Massachusetts for over 2 decades since, enabling thousands of children to make strides that were once thought to be impossible.

I have worked for CMS for 7 years. It has been a pleasure. Knowing our company makes a difference in the lives of children brings our whole company joy. We have new ownership and it has been a breath of fresh air. Our new owners listen to what the staff has to say and tries to make decisions based on whats best for all. I cant wait to see what the future holds I am happy yo be apart of it.

I started at CMS this past June and I have never loved a job more. Staff are appreciative caring compassionate inclusive and respectful. Management is responsive and active in problem solving. CMS offers continuous trainings and a plethora of opportunities for learning and growth. As a therapist youre able to help children generate functional communication and acquire other life skills. Its a warm positive energized work environment - staff are constantly checking in with one another ensuring we are all supported and set up for success. I could not be happier to be a member of the CMS community.

I have worked at Children Making Strides for 1.5 years and I have loved every second of it. The training is great I have learned so much about Autism and have had a the opportunity to work with many different kiddos. The staff are great and all work together as a team. I look forward to coming in everyday and seeing the smiles on our kiddos faces

Children making strides is a great ABA company to work for. If you are looking for a place to consistently teach you new things and help you evolve in the field of ABA this is the company for you. This company truly embodies the 7 dimensions of ABA. Each BCBA works incredibly hard to truly individualize the treatment for each kiddo. We are not a company who only utilizes the VB-MAPP. The BCBAs are a true team and always willing to help each other out. The BTs that work at this company are truly passionate about what they do. If you want to be surrounded by passion and amazing work ethic you will find it here.

Very unprofessional and have just had our 4th no show cancellation for our 2 year old with autism. Their staff is extremely unreliable and do not waste your time with this disaster of an organization. They will be on channel 7 soon.

The staffing turns over so much that it affects the children that they serve and how do you tell parents last minute that their child cant be there after noon time 3 days a week. Hello....Parents have to work. Its a little disheartening that these kinds of things happen. The communication needs to be way better with the parents of the children that they serve
