I have been seeing Libby Pollock since 2019 she is incredible. She always takes my concerns into consideration helped solve the decade long saga of my stomach issues. Shes always really respectful doesnt push diet changes instead encourages me to work with my Dietitian to see what is best for me. It is much appreciated as someone who is trying to heal their relationship with food their body.

After stressing over persistent GI issues I was relieved that I could schedule an appointment quickly with one of their PAs. She gave me very helpful advise that helped me fairly quickly. The office is up to date with technology and allows you to skip the wasteful paperwork and fill out your medical history information online before your visit. I am blown away by the patient care not only by the PA but the front desk and procedure scheduler. When I contacted to the office to cancel a scheduled procedure due to a personal issue I got an email response from Lindsie the procedure scheduler with such compassion I was very touched I highly recommend this office for your GI care.

A week ago I had a colonoscopy and while the day before prep is not what anyone wants to do it is doable. Dr. Albert really cares about his patients and is passionate about educating his patients and the general public about the importance of getting a colonoscopy to prevent colon cancer I also want to thank Mrs. Libby Pollack Dr. Alberts Physician Assistant who I met with for the initial office visit and the follow up appointment. Top Notch My procedure was done at Illinois Masonic and the staff there was awesome Friendly and knowledgeable . Very efficient and patient oriented. I received a written report of my procedure details and outcome before I left the hospital That is much appreciated I also want to give a shout out to the office staff at Chicago Gastro and in particular Lindsie who manages setting up the appointment and explains everything in order to get ready for the colonoscopy. Lindsie also made sure that I had all the information in writing in a file folder to take home. It really helps to have all the informationinstructions to review ahead of time.I highly recommend Dr. Albert at Chicago GastroI hope everyone takes care of their health by doing a colonoscopy.

Though I wound up leaving the Chicago area before my health journey concluded still on the odyssey but making improvements I had a phenomenal experience with Chicago Gastro.I wound up going to them even though Id already seen a gastro at Rush. Most of the areas major health-system GI departments are booked out months in advance but Chicago Gastro saw me the same week I called.I saw Paige a number of times and met Dr. Albert once for my endoscopy. They were both incredibly kind and when working with Paige I felt listened to and respected despite being extremely anxious. The front staff are also all kind and cordial and their billing specialist was very understanding whenever I ran into insurance issues. The clinic also helped me access medication when my insurance company started jerking me around.Im grateful for my time in their care and would recommend them to anyone in Chicago

The medical providers are good but the administrative staff is consistently unreachable and dont respond to messages. They wont provide test results unless you come in for an expensive consultation. When I tried to get my medical records so I could see another doctor the administrative staff made it far more difficult than it needs to be and I still havent received any test results or records. Its been months and the tests were marked urgent by my primary physician. My advice fire your administrative staff and hire people who can perform their jobs.

Ok so talking about your experience with a GI practice and also getting your first colonoscopy isnt really something people talk about. But I wanted to share my experience here so that if you are on the fence or looking for someone I hope you consider this office.I had a meeting about the procedure at the office on Sheffield. Having lived in Chicago for over 20 years and no longer living here Now in GA it was not easy to make this work. But I was here in May for a trade show and got to get my initial appointment with Dr. Pollack to discuss the process. The office staff is really friendly helpful professional and responsive. I tried calling a couple times but ended up emailing them and I got responses within minutes. I will say thats comforting especially when youre anxious about whats coming. inside joke haha literally and figurativelyDr. Pollack was super thorough explained the process to me and also helped coordinate with me getting the prep meds to a pharmacy of my choosing before the trip up. Like clockwork the script was called in to Walgreens two weeks before the procedure. I had to end up using a local one in GA because they wouldnt hold it in IL for 2 weeks- not a big deal.I will pretty much skip the day before. Its not pretty its really unsettling and not eating for over 24 hours isnt easy stuff. But you have to do it for this to be successful.Day of I was in the hospital and the nurses anesthesiologists and Dr. Steiner were all super friendly calm and really confident. All things considered my high anxiety was not making me super crazy. Dr. Steiner did an excellent job of explaining the procedure what could happen the odds of things that could come up and of course post procedure things to be prepared for. By the time I woke up drooling in my bed they were finished.I will say that this office made me feel like they were genuinely concerned about my well being confidence anxiety and of course the fact that I am diabetic and take a wide array of meds they made sure that risks were minimal. In the future Ill probably have to go with someone local to me but I will say that this was not the worst thing and the team was incredible today. I wanted to thank everyone personally but theyre so busy. Thanks to Chicago Gastro and Dr. Steiner for what I expected to be awful- but it was literally nothing serious once I got to the hospital. If youre looking for professionals this is the place.

I am a new patient and really appreciated the time and care Dr. Albert and his staff provided on my first appointment. Dr. Albert took my concerns seriously. He explained my testing options and gave his medical opinion on which make most sense. Together we created a game plan. The consultation felt like a team effort that gave me peace of mind. I also appreciate Jeremiahs communication - providing me with alternative appointment times and following up with me about my insurance. Truly a positive experience.

When I made the appointment with Chicago Gastro I told them that I have a serious hemorrhoid issue and I needed treatment for it as my family doctor recommended. The receptionist explicitly told me that they were specialists and would give me some treatment for sure. So I made an appointment with Dr. Andrew Albert and they asked for my credit card information in advance. But when I visited the office I found that my doctor changed to an AP whose information was even not on the clinics website so I forgot her name. No one ever notified me about this change and I never got a chance to see Dr. Andrew Albert More ridiculously that doctor told me that they could not give me any treatment without giving me any physical examination. She simply referred me to another doctor and charged me 400. The whole process was less than 10 minutes. This was just very unreasonable. I had already seen my family doctor and I knew that I needed some treatment. I had clearly explained my situation when I tried to make the appointment and the receptionist promised me that they would be able to give me some treatment. The service they delivered was definitely not what they promised. So I wanted to file a complaint with them. But I found out that I could not reach out to them directly. I had to call a third-party company to leave a message to them. When I eventually got the chance to talk with them after one or two days the woman who talked to me was so much impatient unprofessional and rude. She was not willing to hear my situation and very impatiently told me that they had outsourced their billing service to another third-party company and I could only call them. So I issued a complaint with that billing company at end of May and I clearly told them that I do not authorize charges to my credit card. They said they would solve my issue for sure but never followed up proactively I called them tens of times. Every time they just told me they would escalate my case but ended up with no response. After two whole months one staff at the billing company finally told me that their account manager would remove my charge but surprisingly the clinic still charged me after two weeks even though I told them I never authorized and even though they promised they would remove this charge.

Far exceeded expectations in every way Navigating doctors approvals HMOs insurance etc. are about as fun as scratching my eyes out. I was incredibly lucky to have Lindsie in the support office help with all of this. Her customer service was the best by far Ive ever received in a healthcare setting and amongst the best Ive ever received period. The day of the procedure all of the staff were great too. Dr. Steiner explained everything before we got started and I felt at ease throughout it all. Procedure seemed to go smoothly too. Id highly recommend.

I love everything about this practice. Dr. Andrew Albert is the measure by which all doctors should measure themselves. Professional yet personal he takes the time to know you individually and what your goals and objectives are rather than assigning text book care. The staff all conduct themselves in the same manner. From the friendly and competent Regi at the front desk to the skilled friendly and thorough PA Paige each person interact there is a joy. I have always felt safe and respected.I also want to highlight that this practice not only provides LGBTQ-affirming care but Dr. Albert and his staff pride themselves on being knowledgeable and current on the unique needs and concerns of members of the community. They are comfortable speaking about those concerns in real language and do an admirable job of walking the line between colloquial and clinical language to put their patients at ease.If I could give extra stars I would.Thank you Dr. Albert and all of the staff at Chicago Gastro.
