Extremely polite and helpful workers at front desk. Dr.s Nurses and entire staff take very good care of you.

I have two day trying to get my glasses. They always close before the time. This is my last time buying glasses at this store. Next time I need to go somewhere else.

We are new to the area. My partner was hit by a car nearby and this was the closest medical facility I found. The front desk was incredibly rudetelling us to not bother because we werent already patients. They didnt ask if he could walk or what his injuries were and we had to ask multiple times just to consult with a nurse before trying to drive to another facility. The front desk told me the nurse wouldnt do anything and it ended with one woman screaming at me as we left the facility. I think this exchange speaks for itselfyou can do better than going here.

Abysmal communication. Time sensitive and important messages on patient gateway are viewed by staff and then ignored for weeks. My doctor no-showed a telehealth visit until I called and the front desk said theyd get her on the ball. They canceled an appointment I had booked and awaited for months without notifying me because I didnt upload my new insurance card before the appointment. I have never felt well cared for while a patient at this clinic and I strongly recommend looking elsewhere for primary care.

Ive had the same PCP at MGH Ctown for 20 years my children were patients since they were babies and brought their children up to the same doctors who cared for them....Its changed a bit over the years I can remember when the dentist was up there which was super convenient but out with the old in with the new I guess. Im 71 and feel so grateful that this place has existed as long as it has my sisters been a patient since forever and has had close calls but shes treated with care by the best specialists and she might not be with us if this building wasnt still here shes 80 now still going strong.....Ive had a few stays at the main campus over the past few years my daughter flew me from NH to the ER doors amidst a major heart attack... will have my 3rd lung radiation treatment at the hospital... from here to there they continue to save my life MGH has been there for my entire family through emergency room scares to cancer and broken bones my first grand daughter was delivered on on it all began and continues to make its way back to the MGH health center Charlestown being there for myself and my loved ones.

If your in need of a good doctor this clinic is not for you. I was told I needed to change because there are no doctors there to treat chronic diseases. They only have resident doctors to experiment with patients. They will leave you to die. Do not attend if your a patient with a chronic condition.

Just want to share that the Saturday hours are actually 830 not 800 AM and if you do not have an appt the walk-in appt window is 1030 - 1130. The manager was gracious in helping me apologized because I was there at 800 and got me in to see a doctor right away.

Preferably regarding pediatrics adult med lab.... For those who may not know this Charlestown MGH Health Center location is only available to Charlestown residents. Their parking lot is VERY small and tight so residents should walk there as much as possible. Even surrounding streets are full obviously its Boston. Anywho Their hours of operation are not the greatest but other than that our family has always recieved great service in numerous departments. My fianc has been apart of Charlestown MGH since he was a baby about 2 years ago we transferred our two daughters there too. Pediatrics is amazing. They are thorough knowledgeable kind yet sort of stern in their voices and helpful to the families needs whether it be insurance issues or scheduling running late housing help etc. The nurses line call you back almost immediately too. Only once I have waited more than 30 mins for a call back even then it was just around an hour. Thats pretty awesome seeing all other hospitals take hours up to a whole day to give a call back if they even call back at all. There are only 2 or 3 doctors in the Pedi office and sometimes only one on shift that day but everything runs pretty smoothly and I never waited long even during walk-in and busy times of the year. I get appointments at my convenience too. I just wish you didnt have to leave your strollercarriage in the hallway but i understand its more of an annoyance than an issue. Adult medicine is similar except their call back times can be non-existent sometimes and getting an appointment any time soon with certain physicians can be tricky too unfortunately. The Lab techs are awesome though. I go to a different MGH because I have been since I was a kid but I go to this Charlestown Lab for my blood work the staff are so gentle and patient. I have always had tiny tiny veins that love to move and sometimes you may think you feel them but they actually are really deep many places stick me a ton of times and do not want to listen which ends up getting them frustrated inevitably calling other techs to try just to turn me into their personal pin cushion all to end up telling me to go somewhere else. Well MGH Charlestown has NEVER done that to me. They actually get me on the first or second prick and never have to stick me in my hands knuckles upper arms to try. No fiddling around either They are so gentle and caring. They actually know what their doing. Great family health center. Takes almost all insurances too.

They overcharge people for so called lab exams we got additional bill for 850 dollars it was late 3 days from due date. After we went back and they made it 270. And it is on top of 250 that we paid. We were told that all vaccination that we brought records for were done and got charged later not knowing about it. They should advertise correctly saying 250 for the exam plus additional charges from the lab. Bad experience.
