Introduction

As both a speech therapist and a father of three young children, I understand how important it is for families to feel supported, heard, and encouraged throughout their communication journey. With over 20 years of experience working with children and families to support language, connection, and confidence, I absolutely love what I do. I work with children of all ages, and have specialized in early intervention, and working with children with autism and Downs Syndrome. My approach is play-based, focusing on building skills in a way that feels engaging, natural, and motivating for each child. When I’m not in working, you’ll find me with my kids fishing, hiking or on watching football.

What words would you use to describe yourself?

compassionate
experienced
playful
Three words that best describe me are compassionate, experienced, and playful. I started working in special education while studying communication in college, and quickly knew I wanted to be a speech therapist. As a father of three young children, I understand both the joys and challenges families experience as their children grow and learn, and I bring that mindfulness to every speech session. I believe strongly in the power of play to foster connection, confidence, and communication. My goal is to create a supportive environment where every child feels encouraged, capable, and excited to learn.

Who are you best positioned to serve?

I am uniquely positioned to support young children with early intervention needs, as well as children with autism and Down syndrome, because of my combination of professional experience, clinical knowledge, and personal perspective as a father of three young children. I understand the importance of meeting children where they are and building skills through meaningful, play-based interactions. I believe every child learns differently, and I focus on creating individualized, supportive therapy that helps children build communication, confidence, connection, and functional skills in ways that feel natural and engaging.

    Beaming Review

I had the pleasure of working with Charles at my private practice, and he was consistently requested by families who often described him as a "teddy bear." Kids absolutely loved him! I would absolutely recommend his services.
