Ive worked for CISS for 5 years now as a respite caregiver and they are by far the best agency to work for They pay over min wage you get regular raises and an extra big raise after 2 yrs They pay high mileage reimbursement for commuting and activities and they are a joy to communicate with when needed. Im so happy to have found such a wonderful organization to work for you dont find these perks at similar organizationsagencies

My family and I have been dealing with a very sensitive issue regarding how to get care to our severely mentally ill loved one in desperate need of physical medical attention that he had been denying he had also become violent due to his sickness and discomfort. John Francis took time with me to go over every option was understanding not judgmental and the most helpful person Ive spoken with in order to get my loved one the help he needed. He even emailed recourses the next day to help us continue to succeed in allowing our loved one to thrive and recover. Thank you for the work that you do you changed his life and you made it feel much easier for us to make the difficult decisions needed in order to finally find him help.The system is difficult to maneuver and most social workers and social servants are over worked and struggle to show compassion and excel at helping families the best ways possible John however seems to handle the stress of his job with grace and compassion which is what really does change lives. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for all that you do for our community.

I love CISS They provide respite care for my daughter. During the pandemic it is better if you have your own respite worker. But what happens when it stops working with your personal friend whos getting paid to care for your child CISS did the firing when I needed to make a quick change. They handled everything professionally and made the transition to someone else easy as well. Getting respite is like a breath of fresh air. Having them offer to handle the yucky part is the cherry on top Thank you

We are so grateful for our Respite Care provided by Channel Islands Social Services. They are very responsive and informative making it easy to work with them. Channel Islands Social Services is the best organization I have worked for in this line of service. One has the freedom to create their own schedule the staff is tremendously helpful and kind and compensation is better than any other agency around. More importantly the families I get to work with are beautiful I always finish a shift happy and satisfied Training seminars are always interesting and insightful. I cant say enough about this company theyre more than wonderful

I LOVE working for CISS They work around the caregivers schedule yet still get every client taken care of. They provide CPR classes for their caregivers so we are all prepared for anything and everything our special needs kids require. The people are so kind and uphold the integrity of the company. It is a wonderful company run by wonderful people. If you are in need of a job and love kids go here
