Center for Assistive Technology & Inclusive Education Studies

CATIES is a research and service initiative of The College of New Jersey’s School of Education. It is dedicated to improving the educational experiences of children with disabilities by linking faculty and staff expertise with the needs of New Jersey ’s educational community. CATIES offers assistive technology evaluations, augmentative communication evaluations and functional behavior assessments. Additionally, CATIES customizes professional development workshops on a myriad of topics. Please peruse our website for suggested topics. CATIES has received funding from Disabilities Rights NJ to provide information and training to teachers and parents so they can make informed choices when selecting iPad apps for children and youth who have disabilities. CATIES is a Word Q Ambassador.
