We are an out of network provider and will provide you with a monthly superbill, if requested. You are encouraged to inquire with your insurance carrier or HSA as to whether the services you seek will be reimbursed and how much that reimbursement might be. We accept cash, check, and credit card as forms of payment. We also accept contracts with schools for compensatory education, settlement, testing, or contracted services.

Conducting evaluations has been my passion for over twenty years. My process is highly affirming, efficient, and I invest in standardized assessments that accurately reflect the diversity of those who are neurodivergent. I do not hire evaluators and conduct the assessments myself, which means I am able to offer a very thorough process without adding any unnecessary expenses.

• ADHD, Autism, or Neuroeducational Evaluation without a report (you will receive a memo signed by the psychologist indicating your diagnoses or summary) $1500

• Independent Educational Evaluation-IEE (funded by your school district at the SELPA rate) 



• We recognize the limitations many individuals and families experience in accessing basic healthcare. We believe access to high quality, experienced clinical care is a human right. Please contact our office if you are unable to afford a needed evaluation.

 With regard to an evaluation, the process is quite comprehensive, especially in comparison to testing you may have experienced at a laboratory or hospital. A neurodevelopmental screening is often sought by parents who have some concerns about their child's development or who want to know if their child is where they should be in their developmental, without committing to a full evaluation. This is a single visit, 45 minute to 1 hour appointment followed by a brief report of findings and recommendations. Any red flags will be noted. In contrast, an evaluation is a multimodal and comprehensive approach to learning about an individual's strengths, weaknesses, learning styles, neurodevelopmental predispositions, and potential diagnoses using structured interviews, observation, and standardized assessment. In person time together can span 1 to 3 visits, totaling between 5 to 8 hours, depending on the evaluation type. In addition, the examiner spends an equal amount of time scoring and analyzing the data, to then spend several hours writing a report which will answer your questions, as well as inform intervention. A one hour feedback session is scheduled in order to discuss the findings together. The report will include any diagnoses, specific intervention recommendations, pertinent resources, and tools for home, school, and/or work. Thus, overall, the process can be anywhere from 16-23 hours long (face to face and behind the scenes) and from intake to testing to feedback to report can take 6-9 weeks on average from scheduling to finish.

A formal ASD diagnosis, or a medical diagnosis, helps you get the support your family needs, especially within the context of accessing medically necessary therapies and services.

• Insurance Coverage for Therapies: Medically necessary therapies for ASD are often covered by insurance including, but not limited to, speech therapy, ABA therapy, and occupational therapy. 
• Financial Support: A diagnosis is required when applying for social security or disability benefits. 
• Plan for Care: A diagnosis helps identify your child’s support needs. For example, your child might need to develop social communication and self-regulation skills.
• Future Research: The more data we gather through evaluations, the more we can improve services for autistic children and adults.

• Medical professionals understand autism better. More doctors are trained to test for autism and other developmental and language delays.  
• The definition of autism has evolved in recent years which means that an autism diagnosis covers more conditions to help more people get the services they need.

Yes, but there is room for improvement. We don’t have a single, perfect diagnostic tool for autism and there are a lot of factors that contribute to an accurate diagnosis. There are a few “gold standards” that are used for diagnosis.

A mental health professional (such as a pediatric psychologist) can help concerns around anxiety, depression, trauma, eating disorders, ADHD, behavioral challenges, OCD, grief/loss.

This happens. The results of the school’s evaluation may be different than your child’s medical diagnosis. It’s also important to remember that school is NOT the final say on your child’s potential. They may offer very little support to your child, underestimate their abilities, or disagree with you on what support your child needs. You will probably need to advocate for the services and support you believe your child needs.
