She was an hour late to my consultation and admitted to not reading any of my documentation (or any of my I-CHAMP complaints that had already fallen in my favor). She was incredibly difficult to schedule with, so I was infuriated that she was hour late. I wish she would have just admitted in the beginning that she wasn’t interested in my case. Instead, she lied and said she doesn’t take cases in my district. She gave a reason why that I knew was a lie because it didn’t align with how due process works (that, and she’s actively taking on a case in my district right now that she’s plastering all over social media). But I wasn’t going to waste my time arguing. I had already wasted enough time. She is more concerned with cases that she can take to the media and make a name for herself. Not cases that are going to require actual advocacy.

School is supposed to be a safe place for children. Sadly it was not for my son. I am glad I found Catherine. From my first phone call, I knew I found a fighter. She fought for my son and gave my family hope. I cannot thank her enough. My son in now in a safe place and thriving.
