Introduction
Hi! I’m Carlie, a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist and singer. Through my personal experiences as a singer and voice teacher, I have found a passion for working with all things voice-related. I also enjoy working with adults and teens with autism and intellectual disabilities, as well as cognitive and language difficulties occurring post-stroke or TBI. I believe in building meaningful relationships with clients, allowing me to tailor sessions and goals to best suit everyone’s individual lifestyle.
What words would you use to describe yourself?
Compassionate
Creative
Adaptable
I would describe myself as compassionate, creative, and adaptable. I believe the ability to help others in an effective manner begins with understanding and empathy for others. Being compassionate allows me to structure sessions to address what is important to my clients and pivot with their communication goals and interests. Combining my passion for learning and creativity, I am able to support my clients’ individual growth and development by creating unique treatment programs even as their goals may change.
Who are you best positioned to serve?
I’m best positioned to serve families and individuals looking for personalized care. I love working with older children and adults experiencing voice complications and injuries, language and social communication deficits due to autism and intellectual disabilities, and rebuilding communication skills following neurological changes. My approach is client-centered and focused on creating a space where clients are comfortable collaborating to create goals and structure their care plan. My goal is for clients to feel empowered and confident in their communication skills.
