I would leave negative stars if I could. Barr was insensitive and cold while delivering life altering news about our 3 day old. He spoke to us like we were in a medical class rather than explaining what was going on in terms we could understand. After he was done with his medical speech to us I was left not having any idea what he actually told us or what it all meant. Thank goodness there was a rotation of drs in the hospital the next day.

Dr. Barr receives five gold stars for me. He has taken care of my son since our move here Im 2004. He is a caring and compassionate doctor and truly takes his time with you during each appointment. But I definitely agree that it is difficult to get a message to him through his staff even more so since his move to Orlando Health.You call and listen to the prompts and then you select a number and many times it doesnt recognize your selection and returns back to the beginning of the prompt. Frustrating You leave a message on the voice-mail or with a person and pray that it actually reaches him.I pray that the change is a great one for him because he is a wonderful doctor. Im just very skeptical about all the changes in staff.

I was referred to see Dr. Barr by my sons pediatrician. This office refused to make an appointment for an evaluation for my son. They even refused to speak with our pediatrician to ask why he needs an evaluation. Our son needs help I shouldve read the reviews. They dont seem to take your childrens health seriously. That says a lot about this practice. Dont waste your time with this office. Ill be looking for a professional practice that addresses our concerns and respects my childs health and needs.

I love Dr. Barr. My son was hit by a truck in 2007. My son was at Arnold Palmer and thats where I met Dr. Barr. My son and him communicate well. Thats important to me as a mom. I need my son to feel safe with a Dr. Dr Barr is awesome for us

Saw Dr Barr when my daughter was in the NICU he was amazing Explained everything to where I would understand exactly what is going on. Had to do follow ups with his office thats completely different When I first made the appointment they called me the day before the appointment saying they needed something which would have taken me a few days to get so had to reschedule the first appointment because they waited last minute to call me.. it has been so hard to get ahold of somebody in the office they all blame it on covid which is definitely not a valid excuse. Last time I needed to make an appointment it took them over 2 weeks of me leaving voicemails every day to get a call back.. now my daughter needs and MRI it is taking them even longer to call me back You leave voicemails and get no calls in return If you want to talk to a voicemail everytime you try make an appointment or need something this is a perfect office for you.. If it wasnt for Dr Barr I would definitely be going elsewhere .

The administrative and medical staff is incompetent.I am about to file a complain with the medical board.My daughter was prescribed a medication that was rejected by the insurance due to the fact that they did not fill out the form correctly. I called the insurance myself they gave me the reason of denial and told me to ask them to turn in another request with the correct diagnosis with the Word URGENT on top. I called the office at least 10 times and left messages. I finally received a call back from the prescription department and gave them the instructions . They contacted me days later again with the request to fill out a form that she was supposed to send me right away. I had to call back the next day to remind her to send me the form.. I went to the pharmacy 3 times since then .. no prescription sent .. I called to complain about the situation they sent me to the nurse assistant voicemail. And NEVER picked up afterwards. Its been a month and a half that my daughter is suffering from terrible headaches pain killer have no effect ... she is bed written and I had to stop working to stay with her. This is unacceptable its MEDICAL NEGLIGENCE wish I Didnt need to come to this point. I called them 5 times again this morning after being sent to the nurse assistant Voicemail. NO ONE PICKED UP I tried new patient existing patient 9 for Spanish even 105 for the practice manager . I heard a voicemail stating they would be closed for Thanksgiving and we are at the end of January. I was recommended a follow up as Dr Barr saw my daughter at the emergency at Arnold Palmers Hospital . Dr Barr and his ARNP were great the staff IS INCOMPETENT and are placing my daughters health at risk. A complain will be filled with the board. They are incapable of getting their own physicians paid as well.. I received a letter from my daughters insurance stating that the bill wasnt covered due to filling code error. I had enough .These people handling the office are jeopardizing my childs health and are taking people for stupid .After all these google reviews about your staff Dr Barr you should CLEAN UP THE HOUSE. You dont play with our childrens health.

We are finding another neurologist. The physicians themselves are good but the office staff is horrendous. I can never get a hold of anyone and it takes forever to get an appointment. My daughter had brain surgery a year ago and takes a daily medication to prevent migraines. She has run out and the pharmacy says they can never get a hold of the office. I have left several messages for the prescription refill staff and they take over a week to reply. Its such a shame that the staff is ruining this practice.If you are looking for a pediatric neurologist save yourself the time and headaches literally and figuratively and find someone else.

Please if you LOVE your child and need to get down to the bottom of any health conditions that your child may face take the time to find a Doctor that would really dedicate time to your child and family. After countless phone calls I was finally able to schedule an appt for my child. With whom the Doctor requested imagining for. It has been over one month and a half and I am told the Doctor has the notes and is going to call in to insurance for the imaging to be approved and it has yet to be done. Myself and Arnold Palmer Hospital Staff have called relentlessly to get this matter addressed and properly handled and it has yet to be done. Your childs conditions matter and should not be put on hold because people do not want to do their job. Do what is right for your child and family. I hope this review reaches the office so that they can be ashamed over the stress they put on families whose children face obstacles.

I wish I could give this place NO STARS My kids just started going here and I am already contacting the state to find another neurologist. The doctor was GREAT It is their staff that ruins this business I have been left on hold long enough that they closed while I was still on hold They hung up on me several times and when I call back after HOURS of trying to reach someone they turn the after hour service on early. Today they apparently closed at 450 pm This is RIDICULOUS and I will be reporting the office to the state departments necessary My kids have seizures and the medicine called in was incorrect. My kids have now been without medication for over 24 hours This place was highly recommended by a state official and I cannot wait to tell him about my HORRIBLE experiences so far Oh and this is all after I had to wait over 4 months for an appointment. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME FIND ANOTHER DOCTOR

I have been trying to get my 12 year old scheduled for an appointment as a referral from his pediatrician for daily headaches.Haley manages new patient referrals and has been absolutely unprofessional non-responsive and not helpful in getting him scheduled.I have tried for over 2 weeks which have included 2 trips to the ER. She has responded to me once.This practice must not need new patients andor hires personnel without any type of medical education.Caroline Stumpf
