I cant say enough good things about this practice They are always so professional competent and nice. They fit my daughter in for an emergency appointment today and expertly dealt with her anxiety over the procedure. I have been bringing my kids here since they were tiny but I was impressed anew today with how they handled a pre-teen just as well as a toddler.

Dr. Crippen is the absolute best Weve had years of amazing visits with this team. During my sons last appointment he became apprehensive and was met with such compassion and patience. Dr. Crippens commitment to earn each childs trust and create a positive experience is unparalleled.

I offered to write this review after the extremely positive experience my son and I had with Dr. Lu and his team yesterday. My son had two prior unsuccessful attempts at treatment at a different office due to a bad gag reflux and lacking pre procedure I instructions. I was nervous for the first treatment at a new office. Dr. Lu was absolutely wonderful with my 8 year old son. He was professional calm reassuring and engaging in a kid friendly way with my son the entire time. I think his skill and manner was key to keeping my son relaxed empowered to know what was happening in his mouth and able to get through the procedure without any difficulty. The two assistants in the room were also wonderful and kind. I am so grateful that my son will continue to be in his care for his dental needs. He called me to answer questions I had re treatment options beforehand and called a couple hours after treatment to check on my son. Thank you Capital Pediatric Dentistry for your competent service all around from the administrative staff to the hygienists and dentists.

I trust Dr. Crippen and his staff with my boy. He is extremely knowledgable and friendly. My son was nervous about visiting a new dentist and Dr. Crippen made him feel comfortable. I would not allow anyone else to complete dental sedation work other than Dr. Crippen. He goes above and beyong by having licensed nurses monitor patient vitals during sedation procedures. Great office would recommend to anyone

I am absolutely thrilled to write a very positive review for our experience with Capital Pediatric Dentistry and the incredibly kid-friendly environment they provide From the moment we stepped into the clinic 13 years ago it was evident that this place was designed with children in mind. The Capital Pediatric Dentistry team is not only highly professional but also exceptionally friendly and patient catering to the unique needs of young patients.Dr. Crippen is amazing. His approach is both gentle and reassuring making my childs dental visit a positive and stress-free experience. He takes the time to explain each step of the process in a way that is easy for my child to understand which helps alleviate any fears.I highly commend the entire Capital Pediatric Dentistry team for their exceptional skills empathy and commitment to providing outstanding dental care in a kid-friendly environment. Thanks to them my child actually looks forward to dental visits and as a parent I couldnt be happier. I wholeheartedly recommend this practice to other families seeking the best possible dental care for their children.

My 4 year old son needed some dental work and had a bad experience at his previous dentist which caused him to have major dental anxiety. They wanted to sedate him for his dental work because he was in tears every time he went there and the treatment plan she suggested seemed to be very aggressive. I was very worried that they wanted to sedate and had a lot of questions. The dentist was very dismissive and short with me so we left and went home. After much research and a call to my sons pediatrician they highly recommended Dr. Crippen. Let me start off the minute my son got there he was anxious but Dr.Crippen and his staff made him feel extremely comfortable. Dr. Crippen suggested a treatment plan that also involved sedation but his plan was less aggressive than the previous dentist. He also took the time to answer my questions and I did not feel any pressure to make a decision right away. By the time I left I knew I found the right dentist to treat my son. I felt he was in extremely good hands and most importantly I felt my sons safety was top priority. The week before sedation my son was getting over a cold and I called the office to let them know and to see if it was ok to proceed with the appointment. Dr. Crippen immediately called me back to discuss his symptoms. He made the suggestion to reschedule to the next week and Im so glad we did. He also called a few times to check in to see how he was feeling before his appointment which I greatly appreciated. The day of sedation Dr. Crippen and his team went over and beyond to make the whole process stress free. My son was done in no time and back to his normal self early that afternoon. I feel like a huge weight has been lifted off my shoulders. Let me add we traveled from Lodi and will continue to be patients of Dr.Crippen because of our overall experience there. If you have a child that needs dental work especially one that involves sedation I highly recommend Dr. Crippen and his team. It is very hard these days to find a dentist that truly cares about their patients. I cant thank Dr. Crippen and his team enough

Dr. Crippen and his staff just completed sedated dental work on my 5 year old and I can finally breath after being anxious all week leading up to the visit. Our family has been patients of his since my oldest was old enough to sit in his chair. The staff has always been so professional and sweet with my kids. I have 3 with all different personalities and comfort levels Dr. Crippen and his staff have catered to my childrens needs over the years to make sure they feel safe and want to return. In regards to todays visit I felt it was important to share my experience because if there are any other anxious parents out there maybe reading this review will give you some comfort. My husband and I were putting off our 5 year olds tooth extraction longer than we should because we didnt feel comfortable with sedation. We finally had to schedule the appointment because my son got an infection. Dr. Crippens office got us in right away to take care of the infection and then immediately after for his extraction. We got a second opinion prior to and the other pediatric dentist was so cold and recommended a completely different plan than Dr. Crippen that seemed so aggressive. In the end we knew that Dr. Crippens office had our sons best interest.Today my son and I showed up for his appointment and were greeted by a nurse and Dr. Crippen they did a check up and proceeded to prepare him for sedation. I was so grateful that I got to be present for the initial shot that relaxed him so when it was time for me to hand him over it wasnt traumatic this was not common practice. I was updated by a staff member while I waited. Before I knew it he was done and I was able meet him in the recovery room. He was still sleeping when I saw him so I could be the first one he saw. The nurse and Dr. Crippen went over everything in great detail so I knew how to care for him. Dr. Crippen also went above and beyond and treated a cavity in his front tooth that we debated pulling. His front teeth look so good and I could of hugged the Dr when he came out and told me he took care of it From there he helped me load my son in the car and we are home resting.I cant thank the entire Capital Pediactric Team enough for taking care of my son and easing my anxiety before during and after the visit. Dr Crippen is a highly capable and master of his craft. He will always take care of our familys dental needs.

Took my two kids ages 3 and 1 to Dr. Crippen this morning for what was the first dental visit for both of them. It was by far the best experience Ive ever had at any dental office in my life. The entire place from the excellent staff to thoughtful decorationsamenities to Dr. Crippen himself is all geared towards making kids comfortable and happy. My three-year-old absolutely hates people touching and prodding him but Dr. Crippen and his amazing staff knew exactly what to do to put him at ease. I watched in disbelief as my son let Dr. Crippen apply flouride directly to my sons teeth with no complaints whatsoever--I was prepared for a total meltdown. Even my one-year-old did much better than I thought he would They each walked away with balloons and prizes and immediately after walking out the door my three-year-old literally exclaimed i love going to the dentist. Five stars doesnt even do this place justice you will not find a better pediatric dentist on earth.

Ive been meaning to review Dr. Crippen and his staff for quite a while now. I first started bringing my daughter to Dr. Crippen when she was maybe 1.5 or 2 yrs old. Now shes 11 yo and I have a 4 yo who sees him. Both of my children feel so comfortable going to the dentist thanks to Dr. Crippen and the rest of the staff. Your children feeling comfortable now is key to setting them up to follow up with their future dental and medical care when theyre adults. This was magnified for me when we moved to Folsom when my daughter was almost 7 yo.Because Folsom is full of families I figured itd be easy to find a good pediatric dentist and itd be nice not to drive out to Sacramento. I was referred to one of those corporate dental places Ill refrain from naming it here by another parent. The dentist that we saw basically traumatized my daughter by telling her that she had six cavities and would have to have four separate procedures and if we didnt have them filled then they would progress to her needing a root canal on baby teethyes...she actually verbalized this to me in front of a 7 year-old who I had told her ahead of time was anxious about coming to a new dentist. That same dentist also never showed me xrays to show me where these cavities were. You can just imagine my fury. Needless to say I took my daughter back to Dr. Crippen for a second opinion because I trusted him and figured if anyone was going to do any procedures on my daughters mouth it was going to be him and not that other dentist. He was sad to see my daughter so terrified to be in his chair as he had known her from previous visits to be smiling and chipper. He put her at ease and informed she and I that no...she did not have any cavities they were the same spots we had always been watching and there were no procedures necessary. He also showed me the xrays as proof. My daughter is 11 yo now has only one baby tooth left and hasnt needed a single filling. She still smiles when she goes into see Dr. Crippen and the staff and comes out smiling. When theyve told her things she needed to work on to keep her dental hygiene up especially when she had braces she listened and worked hard to get things back up to par. And my son he enjoys going there tooSo if you want a great dental office with an honest dentist who cares about his patients emotional and dental health and a friendly very competent staff whos great with kids and parents then this is the place you want to go if youre in the Sacramento area

Went in for a consultation for my six-year-old non-verbal autistic son. Weve never been to a dentist that made us feel comfortable and that absolutely understood my sons situation until we came to Capital Pediatric. Usually we walk into a dentist office constantly apologizing and trying to explain how he would react to certain things. But it was totally opposite here at Capital Pediatric. When we walked in they were so warm and welcoming and were absolutely right about how my son would react and they were prepared We have never been able to get full X-rays of his whole mouth. Dr. Crippen and his staff were able to do that And fast. They understood him so well it made us feel normal. My husband and I left feeling grateful and at ease. That has never happened before leaving a dentist appointment with my son. These people know what they are doing and they do it very well. I would highly recommend Capital Pediatric Dentistry to any parent especially parents with children with special needs. So grateful for this office and its staff.
