About Camp Woodmont Summer Camp

Camp Woodmont is a traditional overnight summer camp for boys and girls ages 6-14. We are located on 170 acres of beautiful North Georgia woodlands on top of Lookout Mountain (approximately 2 hours North of Atlanta and 30 minutes South of Chattanooga, Tennessee). Our summer camp experience provides cabin living, cool evenings around the campfire, creative counselors, new friends, talent/skit nights, and a close family-like atmosphere. Staff to camper ratio averages 1:5. Our program features traditional summer-camp activities with an emphasis on nature, outdoor adventure, horseback riding, noncompetitive sports, and more. The nondenominational Christian atmosphere is appropriate for children from all faiths.

I am so sad to have left campYesterday I brought my children to Camp Woodmont for the 1st time 15yrs ago Then my 3 nephews all were able to experience the wonderful experience of Camp Woodmont Now its my 3 grandchildren that will be attending Their commitment to making Camp an experience they will never forget is what keeps me coming back. My children are in their 20s with families of their own and still to this day keep in touch with their friends they met and the counselors that helped mold them into the amazing men they are today

Went to the open house this Monday. My granddaughter is excited and a little scared to go to summer camp for the first time. But after meeting some of the staff she is ready to go.

My 8 year old went here summer of 2023. He said this was the best summer camp hes ever been to He wants to come back every year now. He is eating new foods and cant stop talking about all the fun things he did while he was there The counselor Will was great So were counselors Sarah and Lily Chloe the co-director was great and answered all my questions quickly. She even gave us a tour before my son came This camp is really something special and its the activities and staff that make it that way Dallas will be back every year Thank you Camp Woodmont for taking extra special care of my son

My 11-year-old daughter went to Camp Woodmont for the first time this summer and she LOVED it When I picked her up after two weeks she was already begging to go back next year. I was so worried that she would have trouble fitting in but I didnt need to worry. She had a wonderful couple of counselors and bonded with the girls in her cabin. She loved the variety of activities available each week and talked nonstop about how much fun shed had at both the color wars and the masquerade party. We found Woodmont online and didnt know anyone who had been there so I was a little nervous about trying out a new camp. But Alyson was available to answer questions whenever I had any and I appreciated that. I liked that the camp was small and geared toward first-time campers. It was a perfect environment for my daughter.I couldnt be happier with Camp Woodmont and look forward to signing my daughter up again next year.

I had heard about this camp some from some people I know. I finally got a chance to visit here and I got a tour around the camp. They have so many different fun features. They have frisbee golf courses mini golf a pool outdoor ping-pong an indooroutdoor basketball gym horses and a barn cafeteria guys and girls cabins a small lake for canoeing and kayaking and many more things. This really is such a nice camp and it looks like anyone going to camp here could have so much fun. The camp is very well maintained and nice camp with many features and kind staff

Im reviewing this 35 year old family-owned camp from my experience as an adult camper. I attended Camp Woodmont on a small 3 day herbalism retreat. For companies looking for a place to host team building retreats or large groups looking to get outside this is a fabulous option. 5 hours from Louisville KY 1hr from Chattanooga TN its been great.Note that renting the camp doesnt necessarily mean having the camp staffed to feel like camp. Booking hosts are the ones putting together the itineraries for campers attendees. As for food we were all impressed and taken aback by the quality and yum-factor of prepared meals. Options were available for folks with food restrictions which was much appreciated by all.Attendees had the option to book a bunk or camp in the field shared with the the bonfire area. For this reason earplugs would be helpful for those wishing to bring their gear and camp.Lovely camp lovely family. Glad to have experienced Camp Woodmont
