About Camp Twin Lakes - Winder

Camp Twin Lakes provides year-round, fully-adaptive, and deeply impactful camp experiences to nearly 10,000 of Georgia’s children and young adults, helping each camper grow in their confidence and experience the joys of childhood. Our intentionally-designed programs help campers overcome obstacles as they learn new skills to more independently manage their challenges. As they make memories with their peers, the isolation they often feel vanishes in the comfort of new friendships forged by the strongest of bonds—the challenges they have in common. The magic happens at our camp sites in Rutledge and Winder, Georgia, through Camp-To-Go programs at children’s hospitals throughout the state, and even online.

Years ago I went to Camp Juliana spelling I think 3 years in a row til I was too old I couldnt come anymore. Met lots of deaf people and made a few friends. One time my cabin dad was so mean I wanted to switch to a new cabin and I was told no. Also a few kids were very mean but the others stopped them from bullying me.

I love this place My son attends Camp Krazy Legs and its truly something that he looks forward to every year. He gets to attend with a group of his peers with similar medical issues he says its the only time he gets to feel normal. You dont know how priceless this experience is for our disabled children. My son missed out on his school camp trip because they simply couldnt accommodate him and I couldnt attend with him so this is the only overnight camp that he can attend because its staffed with nurses and the most amazing staffing.I remember first watching the promotional video back when my son was too young to attend. We couldnt wait until he was old enough and he will continue to attend every summer as long as hes interested. He cries when its time to come home and it breaks my heart because he feels so safe there. I love what they do for our disabled children. Thank you for providing this amazing experience and making us parents feel comfortable. You bring us joy as well

Like the staff volunteers and the place with all activities. Will give 5 starts if no animals are loose while eating. Not sure what are the requirements for them been in the pool with humans but it made me a bit concerned for parasites or any other things that come with having an animal in a pool with children adults.Other than that everything was great.
