Introduction
Hi there! I'm Caitlin. I'm a pediatric speech-language pathologist based in the East Bay. I have worked in a variety of pediatric settings, including public school districts, in-home early intervention, and private clinics around the Bay Area. I work with children of all ages, and I am especially passionate about early intervention. My areas of expertise include: pragmatics/social skills, early language development/early intervention, articulation and phonology, preschool and school-age receptive and expressive language delays, and literacy skills. Other areas of practice include Childhood Apraxia of Speech (CAS), oral-motor deficits, and auditory processing disorders.
I feel strongly about collaboration with families and other team specialists in order to provide a child with the best opportunity to thrive. I believe that all children deserve a voice, and I love being a part of the communicative journeys.
When I'm not in therapy sessions, you can find me chasing after my three young children, walking our dog, or just enjoying the sunshine!
What words would you use to describe yourself?
Playful
Compassionate
Dedicated
Playful: reflects my belief that learning happens best through fun, engaging activities tailored to each child’s interests.
Compassionate: I truly care about each child’s unique journey and strive to create a safe, supportive space where they feel heard and valued.
Dedicated: speaks to my commitment to helping children and families succeed—I’m always learning, adapting, and collaborating to ensure the best possible outcomes.
Who are you best positioned to serve?
I am best positioned to support children within the early intervention population. I help children learn to communicate at a young age--whether through sign language and/or gestural communication or spoken language.
I also work well with preschool or elementary aged children on speech intelligibility and receptive/expressive language skills. I have a personal connection to dyslexia and sensory processing disorders, and it is important to me that a child feels comfortable and confident in their communicative skills.
Stuttering is not my primary area of expertise, so families seeking fluency support may benefit from a therapist with specialized training, and I’m happy to help guide them to the right resources!
