Beaming Review

My kid was injured by 2 children in one day. She was shoved and kicked. The BCBA Yvette told me at pickup they had a wonderful day, and only had one small tantrum. They failed to put it in the online DETAILED daily report as well. My nonverbal child was able to say "hurt" at home and was visibly upset. I called and was given 3 different stories by 3 different people before they got the story straight and told me all that happened. The Bcba was used as an excuse for being new and busy. They also informed me that my daughter was upset for an hour saying "home" and I was not called or told about it. She was crying throughout that night and holding where she was hurt. I do not recommend this center to anyone. That was a traumatizing situation, and now my daughter will not be getting ABA anymore and is being homeschooled.

Beaming Review

My child had an incident where she was hurt by twice at this center. She is special needs, and not able to communicate to us anything that happens at therapy, or any other day for that matter. She was thankfully able to say in one word she was hurt. I was not made aware of this at all by the school. They have a website for parents where every detail of the child's day is documented for the parents to see. Despite them admitting later, when confronted, that this was a major event in her day, they did not have it on the website, and told me she had a wonderful day. When I confronted them, they admitted she was hurt twice that day by two children. I was told these events had her upset for a considerable amount of time. I talked to two people who said there was two incidents in one day. They later said the therapist Yvette was new and probably just forgot. Many autistic children, mine included, cannot communicate. Parents should ALWAYS be made aware of a child being hurt at school.
