Such caring and dedicated staff They have a fantastic group of BCBAs and managers who work closely together and check in on our sons progress regularly. My husband and I have been very pleased with the service we received from BSL.

My wife and I discovered BSL through a google search. At first it seemed absolutely perfect for our needs. The people we were contacted by were very kind and explained the process fairly well. Everything seemed to be going smoothly at first. Bridget came to our home and went through several questions with my wife and I regarding our 8 year old sons diagnosis behavior. The initial at home assessment was about 2 hours. However upon receiving our first invoice we noticed that we were being charged six co-pays for six dates of service. After inquiring about this with BSL it was explained to me that there is a lot of back end work that occurs to create a plan find a behavioral therapist etc. If this work did not all occur on the same day then my insurance would be billed for each date when this work was being completed. This would have to mean that 12 hours wouldve been spent on back end work. After inquiring about this with my insurance they did say that it was an odd billing practice but that it was allowed as long as BSL did not exceed my billable units within a six month period. If they did exceed the billable units I would need to pay out of pocket. We decided to move forward. We were assigned a behavioral therapist for my son. He was a very nice man and seemed to have sufficient experience with children. My family did have some scheduling issues due to workschool schedules COVID school closures etc but we made it work. I did eventually become disappointed in our behavioral therapists performance when it became clear that there was no real plan during each visit. He did give us many tips on how we could handle particular situations with our son and he did seem to genuinely care about how he was doing. However much of the time he would come over speak with us speak with my son maybe play some chess with him and that was it. It really felt like there was no plan in place. This became very clear when during our last session with him I had to ask him to ask my son how he felt about a particular situation that had made him feel upset. I had to ask him to initiate a conversation with my son about something that we had discussed with him. During this time no one from BSL had reached out to us to ask how us or our son were doing or how we felt about the behavioral therapist that was assigned to us. Our sons behaviors have not improved much since initiating services with BSL. Ive worked with another ABA therapy provider in the past whose BCBA would follow up with us weekly to ensure that the therapist was a good fit for our son. Unfortunately that BCBA moved and was no longer available which was one of the reasons why we looked elsewhere. Overall not a terrible experience but it definitely couldve been better. I ended up feeling like it was a waste of mine and my familys time.

I couldnt be happier with our experience with BSL. Their professionalism knowledge and care has proven that anything is possible. Our son had behavioral issues that have rapidly diminished since we first met with Bridget. It is very rare these days to find someone who truly cares for the well-being of a stranger. I am forever thankful not only to BSL but also to my dear friend for referring us.
