About Btec Behavioral Therapy, Inc. - Mary Esther

At BTEC, all clinical ABA therapy services are provided EXCLUSIVELY by our team of Masters level Board Certified Behavior Analysts. Unlike typical ABA programs, we DO NOT allow "behavior techs" (RBTs) with minimal training and education requirements to work with our families or join our staff. All BTEC practitioners hold a minimum Master's degree, have received extensive post-graduate training in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis, and have been awarded the BCBA credential by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board.

This place has been a life changer for my son He got diagnosed two years ago and BTECH has helped him tremendously. I cant stress enough how much the BCBAs care for the kiddos and how much they value to help the parents with any arising issues. My son went from being completely non-verbal to now building 5word sentences I am now able to take him to grocery stores with me and even to birthday parties I cant emphasize enough how much I appreciate everything these people did do for our whole family. By choosing BTECH your picking an institution that wants to genuinely help your kiddos to prosper. My son has seen several of the BCBAs and again I genuinely loved each one of them

If I could give a negative star based on my experience I would. This facility came highly recommended after my son was diagnosed with autism in January.I called and got a response from the director the same day I asked if there were openings for my child and assured that there was not that there would be a long wait so that I could tell the insurance company. Over the phone initially everything was fine.Once I returned the packet in person to the director everything went nonchalant.Initially I was told after paperwork was turned in an assessment would be scheduled soon thereafter.Needless to say I had to call several times without response and finally about a month later after leaving a frustrated message we were scheduled for an assessment.During the assessment the person advised me to seek other facilities for my needs and even wrote down the names of nearby facilities.I have had to reach out to the director several times and finally another month after assessment and two months after initial contact she says she will talk to the person who did initial assessment. A month laterMy son doctor advised me to seek help elsewhere and see what the process is like to determine if this is normal for this area.Monday I reached out to 2 facilities and what a huge difference in personnel relationshipWhat I was shown from the director was a complete lack of interest for my child or his well being and I have told my insurance company about my experience. I refuse to believe my child was discriminated against in 2019. Based on my experience I would not recommend this facility regardless of how many masters degrees are floating around.
