From the receptionists to the therapists this clinic is absolutely fantastic. They get to know and truly care about each patient and give them the individualized care that they deserve. The physical therapists go above and beyond in developing and implementing a care plan for each patient. I watched two therapists work together on one patient to assist with a walking exercise and I was blown away by their selfless dedication.I have improved immensely from my sessions. Thank youHighly recommend. If they are booked up its for a reason they are worth the wait

I am very grateful for the compassionate and professional treatment of the group that make up Brooks Rehabilitation Daytona Beach. These people never cease to amaze me with their humane warm and professional treatment. From the beginning their compassionate treatment ability to understand the needs of the patient and very creative treatment to my husbands abilities and limitations have produced outstanding recovery. I can tell they are open to seeing the human being and not just a client. From the reception to each one of the therapists they always go above and beyond in their mission to help in the recovery of the patient and his family.

REMEMBEROne in five will have a strokeWe did our research and decided to use Brooks in Daytona for Occupational Therapy and for Speech Therapy we selected Brooks in Deltona.IN GENERALHospital- inpatient-outpatientWhen we started we did not know how many therapists were just out of school with no experience no training especially on advanced equipment and no certifications on electronic stimulation equipment. You must be your own advocate and the learning curve is quite steep. You must find the best qualified facility and then be prepared to fight to get in because people know where the best location and best therapists are. Seldom are plans or goals shared some therapists just ask what do you want to do today. Read the reports and do the research and be the boss. When transferring from inpatient to outpatient the patient and caregiver is given no idea what they are going to have to do at home and how much effort will be required to do multiple medical and therapist appointments. They will not tell you therapy will require all day each and every day. No one will tell you stroke recovery will take years and your lifestyle will change dramatically. You will have no more easy days. No one will tell you about plateau or how long certain achievements will take. We cannot get an answer to any how long will it take questions. Cannot even get an opinion or best guess. Some therapists will skate by and they are like oh I gotta go get something. Some are very caring and are very competent some are not. Who is prescribing medications must be monitored because we had hospital doctors inpatient doctors and outpatient doctors then neurologist heart doctor neuropsychologist and personal doctor all prescribing medications. If you have very good insurance this is not a problem. The best newest medications can be quite expensive. You must say no to tella-doctors. They are sitting in Hong Kong and could care less about you. Invite the hospital Chaplain in for prayer. Put your name on your Gate Belt foot splint ankle boot your hand splint finger glove stimulation equipment glove Give-Mor Sling Himi Walker and wheel chair or they can disappear.

Brooks Rehab Daytona deserves 10 stars. From the moment you walk into the clinic you are immediately greeted by friendly faces. The therapists are nothing short of amazing. Stephanie Kim and Ellie are all phenomenal. They truly care about their patients and the results. They go above and beyond to get all of us patients scheduled in a timely manner. I would highly recommend this outpatient rehab to anyone.

I had a major stroke so need extensive therapy. We did a lot of research before selecting a therapy facility and therapy group and we love Brooks Outpatient in Daytona Beach Florida.Starting up front at the reception desk the two Christian ladies do an excellent job of helping us navigate all of the appointment problems and make sure that I get the therapy that I need. They are kind considerate and very resourceful and always have a smile on their face.Physical Therapy is usually first for me and all the therapist there are very competent caring and confident and they really want to help. They have been instrumental in my transitioning from wheelchair to Hemi-Walker to a cane.Occupational Therapy has been slow for me we had some difficulty getting appointments because so many patients are rotating in from Brooks inpatient. Once we got past the standby appointments and staff shortage situation and finally got the i-FES system going I have experienced some recovery. The two occupational therapist have been very helpful and kind. I suspect Brooks need to hire another Occupational Therapist. For Speech Therapy we went to Brooks in Deltona because Amanda was able to use computer programs a camera to check my swallowing problems and she is experienced well trained and certified in E-Stimulation.There are a few small things I do not like a rehabilitation building should have an ADA bathroom in the Outpatient Therapy room and the door to OT is difficult to get out of impossible if wheelchair bound. Brooks constantly brings in new assistant therapists fresh out of school and they usually are not fully trained nor certified in advanced E-Stim. Some are gifted some are not. We get differing instructions on a variety of situations such as how to walk and how to wear support equipment. After three months three times a week the Brooks staff has become like family they really care about me.
