The staff members are very professional. I saw a great improvement in my Sons condition in a matter of just a few days. I would highly recommend Brooks Rehapilitation to anyone needing professional care.

Brooks rehab was so awesome. Thank you so much for the care and hospitality. Much appreciated. Wish insurance would have let him stay longer because he was making great progress. Happy Thanksgiving to you all. Keep up the great work. Would recommend Brooks to everyone.

My husband a USArmy retiree was discharged from Brooks Rehab on 11292023. Despite living four hours away we chose Brooks based on a recommendation of a nurse at a facility we stayed at. The impressive equipment showcased in online photos further influenced our decision. But sadly most of the equipment you see you barely get to use as its always booked. Our experience had both positive and negative aspects at Brooks. On the positive side we were fortunate to have a compassionate charge nurse named Lily who provided exceptional care. Additionally nurses Heather Steven Kathryn and Van along with CNAs Gina Smilja and others contributed positively to my husbands care. Unfortunately there were notable drawbacks such as two nurses forgetting to tube-feed my husband and some CNAs taking shortcuts that resulted in recurrent UTIs.During our two-month stay my husband received only three showers and unless initiated by us he had only one bed bath at night. Concerns also arose regarding the rehab doctor who initially supported the medical necessity of my husbands continued rehabilitation but within 2 days seemed to change her stance. Communication with the insurance company raised concerns about potential financial prioritization of the hospital over patient success.Despite requests the rehab doctor Tribuzio did not fulfill her commitment to make a peer-to-peer call to the insurance company for an extension. This became crucial as Brooks initiated a discharge date for 11292024 conflicting with Tricares review date of 1128.The case manager Sharonda proved unhelpful with incorrect orders and a lack of coordination for essential equipment.Upon discharge we faced further challenges such as receiving a semi-automatic bed instead of the requested fully automatic one and not having a wheelchair on the day of discharge. The promise of assistance with Social Security applications also went unfulfilled. The case managers unprofessional behavior and failure to address concerns added to the frustration.Efforts to extend my husbands rehabilitation were hindered by the rehab doctors non-responsiveness to Tricares calls on 1127 and 1128. Despite Tricares three attempts to communicate the medical necessity of an extension Brooks initiated the discharge independently resulting in a missed opportunity for continued care. The doctor never returned any of these 3 calls as per my insurance case manager.Coordinating rehab appointments at Brooks was also a challenging ordeal. Throughout the rehab sessions doctors consistently took 5-10 minutes from our already limited 60-minute slot each morning. Furthermore therapists frequently arrived late shortening numerous sessions to only 45 minutes instead of the allotted 60.The situation worsened when my husband fell ill causing us to miss several rehab sessions. On weekends staffing issues further complicated rescheduling missed appointments. The availability of high-tech equipment such as the Cyberdyne was hindered by frequent bookings limiting our usage to only three times during our time at Brooks. In conclusion our experience at Brooks Rehab had both positive and negative aspects. While some staff members provided exceptional care organizational shortcomings and communication issues significantly impacted the overall quality of our experience.Future families should conduct thorough research before choosing a rehabilitation facility especially for individuals with more severe conditions. My attempt to receive a call back from the CEO unfortunately failed.

I was here from March to May of 2023 wasnt made out to be like everyone made it to be. I live about a hour in a half from this hospital in Georgia I never once broke a sweat in Brooks and every time I leave my new therapy place Im drenched. I had a stroke at a young age everyones body is different I know but others that Ive talked to that had a stroke at the same age have regained mobility back in there arm and hand they all say they had intense therapy on their arm and hand Brooks neglected my arm and hand so much. Before leaving I was told not to be disappointed if I was in a wheelchair for the rest of my lifeI got home in May and was walking with a cane by June on my own.Elanor was the best CNA I had hands down the tall Asian guy Larry was the absolute worst. Heather on the 3rd floor was great

Brooks Rehab Hospital truly gave me my daughter back. After her head-on car collision and brain injury Logan was fully oriented aware and reasoning by the time of her discharge which was about a month. They made sure my daughter had resources to continue her therapies at home and the case worker Sarah G. made sure all was set with home health for our journey to continue. The care team was top notch and I am so thankful for their professionalism their knowledge and execution of her healing plan as well as their great bedside manners that put my daughter more at ease and made the hard journey doable.Thank you Brooks

I am forever indebted to Brooks for rehabilitating my husband. He had a TBI and fractured C1. He could barely walk when he arrived. Within two weeks he was walking bathing writing doing math problems etc..... Brooks was amazing Even though they were three hours from our home it was so worth it. They helped us so much. They were so compassionate and caring. Even gave hugs when needed. It was so comforting. Also a very clean facility.

These people literally almost killed me. I did all they asked me to do. Wish I hadnt. My surgeon didnt want me doing so much and as a result my body shut down. They also taught me body mechanics improper for my particular situation.SOME of the nursesaids were genuinely amazing. Some were lazy and wouldnt have given a damn if I fell off the bed or just stayed on the toilet for 3 hours. This was the most awful experience. After an incredibly painful surgery to come here was literally hell.

My 18 year old son was in a motorcycle crash and was able to get into Brooks. We were VERY impressed with his care and what they did with him. The PTOT therapists did an amazing job they pushed him without overdoing it and every time he finished therapy he felt more confident. It was a fantastic experience
