Sunrise School offers comprehensive special education day school programs for students, ages 5 through 21, with moderate to severe global delays associated with autism spectrum disorder and other developmental disabilities. The primary goal is to enable each student to realize his or her fullest potential in the areas of independence and skill level across all academic areas. With a multidisciplinary team of professionals, Sunrise provides a wide range of learning opportunities that foster growth in all essential areas. This integrated educational program promotes communicative, behavioral, academic, motor, adaptive and independent living skills, as well as social and emotional The program features: Individualized academic programs, which include functional reading, functional writing, functional math, self-help, vocational and community awareness and safety. Speech and Language and Occupational Therapy services are available as per students’ IEP. All providers work closely with the teachers in a collaborative model to support students’ learning experience in the full breadth of school activities.
