Introduction

I’m Breana, a Speech Language Pathologist based in the South San Fernando Valley. I have worked with school-aged (ages 3-18) students in the schools and virtually. In therapy, my approach is play-based, strengths-based, and neurodiversity affirming. I also prefer to take a personalized, client-centered approach, meaning I don't just work with my client, but collaborate with their family members, caregivers, teachers, physicians, and any other members of each person's care team to help skills carry over into everyday life. This allows me to meet the client at their current level and work towards a common goal. I am passionate about finding the technique or trick that helps a child produce a sound they are struggling with, there is nothing better than their reaction when they finally begin to produce the errored sound correctly, especially when they don’t even realize it. My areas of expertise include Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy, Speech Sound Disorders, Phonological Disorders, Childhood Apraxia of Speech (CAS), Literacy/ Reading, Social Communication Disorders, Receptive and Expressive Language Delay, and Augmentative and Alternative Communication. When I’m not in the therapy room, I can be found creating therapy materials, creating cross stitch needle art, and cooking/ baking gluten free wonders in my kitchen!
