Blue Bird Day has been a wonderful experience for our child. The team at Blue Bird is truly remarkable in the work that they do and the love and care they provide. Our child loves each and every one of her therapists and TAs - Elizabeth R Emily G Emily La. Ann C. Nicole P Elizabeth K Jessica R Leye Abby Kira Kayla Brielle Sydney Mia Emily Li. Julia Alexa - and talks about them often The admin staff is also exceptional Cindy and has made all the insurance and paperwork and scheduling as seamless as it could possibly be.

Blue Bird Day has been such a great support for my kiddos.The staff work seamlessly together to really provide a phenomenal experience to the children and families. Im really grateful to have found this resource. A special thanks to JaimieMelanieJessica R.OlaleyeMirandaMariela AlexBri and Sydney who ALWAYS make dropping my kids off feel like Im leaving them with family.

My son has been at Blue Bird Day for 6 months now and we are so happy His progress has been incredible. He is so much more engaged his balance and strength have improved and he is communicating more and more. We absolutely adore all of his therapist teachers Kelsey Mary Haley Janie Meredith and Leah. And we are so grateful for his wonderful therapeutic assistant Marcela who makes sure he gets his seizure medication every day. I can tell they all truly care for my son and it is so comforting.

Our family is incredibly grateful to have found Blue Bird Day Northcenter We have a beautiful 4-year-old who is on the spectrum and had been in a lot of private therapy but was not yet ready to join mainstream preschool. In just three short months he has learned so much thanks to the care of his therapy team at Blue Bird Day. After a few tears on his first day he now gets so excited every day at school dropoff. The care shown to him by his Developmental Therapist Janie Kaess is so heartwarming as she guides him through his day and gives us awesome reports in the afternoons. We have also had fantastic support from our Speech Therapist Kelsey Skorupa and our Social Worker Meredith Nieuwsma. The updates we get from this team throughout the day are amazing. They have an app that parents can use to follow their children throughout the day so that we always know what the kids are learning and experiencing and how we can reinforce at home what theyve learned at school. We are very grateful for the care and guidance our son is receiving at Blue Bird Day. We cant wait to see what he will do next

Blue Bird Northcenter has been the best thing ever for my little guy. He has been in Early Intervention and was recently diagnosed with Autism and Global Delay. Since we started Bluebird about 4 months ago he has seemed so much happier and more engaged. You can tell all the therapists and assistants are very invested and always look so happy to come get him from the car in the morning. We wanted the best care for him and I know he is getting it thanks to Kiana S Ashley G Nicole S Irma G Fasiha A Serena K Devin D and everyone else there

Blue Bird has been an exceptional experience for us. I am so impressed with the real care and concern of the dedicated staff.Every day I would see Wendy as she took my son out of the car exuding love for him and joy in being with him for another afternoon.Over the remote learning period I was able to see my sons therapists in action- and realize that Wendy typifies all of them.Tori- your smile and enthusiasm always motivated D to work with you. He would start completely drained after 3 hours straight of therapy and you got him moving like no one else. And you are targeting great skills in his speech development- he is improving.Lauren- your sweetness and gentle understanding of D was so touching for me to see. When he would get stuck and frustrated you would keep trying to understand his plan.Cara- your friendly positive energy always reminded me of the cheerleader- cheering D along and seeing the ability in whatever he produced. Not only did your enthusiasm in Ds puzzle abilities equal mine but you immediately thought of how to apply this in the regular pod situation.I am so excited to have D in this special environment and I feel he is- and will- gain and grow so much.

My son began Bluebird a year ago and has made tremendous progress. I feel so grateful for his team Mary Sindu are excellent speech Pathologists Leah Stephany Courtney Erica Kezia and Naila also work so hard with my son. I know he is in good hands with people who truly love their jobs and care about him. I couldnt imagine him being anywhere else. I would recommend Bluebird to anyone with a child that could benefit from these services they are the best.

Thank you Blue Bird for your caring dedicated staff. I was discussing with Lauren the difficulty in transitions and getting my son to do everything we need to accomplish in a day and she graciously offered to make a visual schedule- which has been so helpful. Another time on a Friday I was discussing an upcoming situation beginning Monday which I anticipated being difficult for my son to adjust to and she suggested making a social story. Technical issue- she doesnt have any time to make it before he leaves for the day. I said No problem if we get it on Monday that will also be great. He came home with it that Friday. Thank you Lauren and thank you Blue Bird.

My little guy has been attending Blue Bird Day - Northcenter since late April 2018. Prior to that he had been receiving in-home Early Intervention services and just before his 3rd birthday he was formally diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder. The news was hard to digest and my heart hurt. I really knew nothing about Autism I didnt know where to start. With his Early Intervention services stopping it became my mission to act fast and find my son the BEST possible help I could find him. Thats when we found Blue Bird Day.Right from the start I knew this was the place for my son. From the very first phone call to the site visit tour to meeting the staff bringing my son in for evaluation...every step of the way the entire staff was so helpful caring and knowledgeable. I knew my little guy would be in good hands and I truly believed hed be getting THE BEST help I could find for him. Aside from the 4-hour school day he also receives individualizedintensive therapy. He has made so much progress Hes talking socializing with peers communicating his needs...he is just thrivingEvery teacher assistant and therapist at BBD is amazing...we are so incredibly grateful for Linda Raquel Courtney who have been with us from the start We are lucky to have such a great team...Maureen Salena Leah R. I cant say enough good things about Blue Bird. My son is treated with respect dignity and kindness. The therapists do such an amazing job at engaging him. Theyve been able to teach him the things I havent been able to and have been so supportive of our familys individual needs. Getting a diagnosis can feel bewildering and scary because of ablelist stigma surrounding neurodivergence that unfortunately exists in our society. As a caregiver to a neurodivergent child - when learning how best to be your childs advocate - theres much to learn about how to provide proper accommodations and supports. The level of professionalism the staff at Blue Bird maintains and how they are able to switch roles between educating both child and caregiver consistently impresses me. Post-diagnosis it can be all too easy to get swept up in what is often portrayed as a desperate time but it doesnt have to be with the proper supports - and thats what Blue Bird has done such a wonderful job at providing our family. It can be hard not to overly pathologize after receiving a diagnosis - but I urge caregivers to consider that this is still a young human that deserves a childhood where they can feel like a kid not be treated clinically - and I recommend Blue Bird as a setting that ensures your child will feel like a student and not a patient. Its been incredible seeing my son learn in such an accommodating environment and it really shows. Hes made great friends and adores his team Its been so rewarding to watch him grow so much with their guidance and hes learning self regulatory and communication skills that will benefit him for the rest of his life here. I was admittedly overwhelmed by the whole process of enrollment newish mom here that sucks at adulting and Evie helped make it a totally painless process. From the ground up I cant recommend Blue Bird enough.
