I love going here for my mental help They are an amazing network of caseworkers and mental help professionals. If you go here you should check out Friends In Action Clubhouse which is affiliated with them. Its a place for people with mental illnesses to make friends and learn different skills like cooking art on our craft nights and general cleaning. But everything is voluntary there so just do what you know you can. Its a great place to make friends.

They were great at the beginning horrible now. I started services sometime in 2020. The only issue then was getting a therapist set up it took a few months. My original case worker was Melinda she was amazing but is not with the company anymore I guess. My new caseworker never called me more than once to introduce herself. And actually I was handed over from that one to another person that never made an introduction. I wasnt called by a caseworker in 8 months to a year dont remember time-frame exactly. Waited over a year for different therapist and never got one.One of the psychiatrists wanted to change my diagnosis that has been the same since I started seeing psychiatrists just because the meds she chose werent working. She was going to put me on antipsychotics when theyre really not necessary. The one I switched to her nurse got an attitude with me because I stopped taking my meds and decided to resume them later she called me med non-compliant when I was told to stop the meds if need be because of severe side effects to begin with. What am I supposed to do considering I can only get ahold of the psych once per monthI told them several times I am done with their services and they still were contacting me months later about financial or yearly reviews. I got a letter stating they were closing my chart because I havent called in for a while.. Id already told them so many times I was done with the place Theyre so bad at communicating info to each other. Anyway I do not recommend them at all.

Its changed a lot. Some of the people that are there to help people like me shouldnt be there. Connie is the worst of the worst of the worst. I wouldnt trust her if my life depended on it.

Absolute joke. I was referred by a crisis team BHR that had come out to my house expecting to get to see a psychiatrist fairly quickly stating they had ties to this facility. I went in did a Screening was told to come in Monday for an intake that should have been extradited due to being referred by the crisis team. I checked in gave them my name after waiting 2 hours finally someone came up to me asked me and anothers name and literally said welllll Im not sure what Im going to do here Im not sure if ill be able to see you today or not They clearly do not take whatever they are doing here seriously. People wonder why its so hard to ask for help its most definitely because of terribly managed places like this. Staff seemed far from caring about any issues just seemed exhausted and like they didnt want to be there. I ended up having to call 911 because symptoms were so bad they told me to go to mercy in festus. So I did and I was taken care of better than ever. They were actually caring genuinely wanting to help what youre dealing with. I felt no judgement or looked at as someone who was just homeless trying to get drugs etc like I very much did at parkland or here.

Today we when in to Pick up medication. I asked to speck with a nurse to gain her help. And she was super good about helping even when I wasnt sure exactly what I wanted. People with mental health disorders have a hard enough time of it out in public so to have a place of understanding and true care and concern is a major plus. Stigmaization of something a person had no choice in getting is debilitating to someone most deny their symptoms and dont get help. I tell people I have a condition purely for their reaction. Im not sure if its good are bad training one self to real not care what others think of me. Kind of tricky to think about.

I lost my doctor and they didnt tell me. They just dismiss me. Ive been back three times to fill out paperwork and dont get anywhere. I dont drive. I rely on transportation from someone else and because its been 21 days they want me to redo the screening all over again a waste of time and I dont get anywhere again my mental health continues to suffering.

Called to get set up for counseling. Was told that it is a walk in only process and that it is a PROCESS from 8 to 230pm. Why wouldnt you be able to schedule a visit to set up an appointment with a counselor Unless this isnt a counseling service. Then Mary said that IF you can get in we have to come back another day or just sit there all day waiting to be seen. To set up an appointment I understand everyone has a process but this was very off putting.

Have gone up there 3 times and every time is a different excuse as to why I cant fill out the paperwork after driving 45 minutes one way. If you genuinely need help go somewhere else because these people dont care.
