Introduction

Hi! I'm Bernycia, a Speech Language Pathologist living in Detroit, Michigan. I've worked with a variety of age ranges and settings, with a focus on elementary age students, and individuals on the Autism Spectrum. My approach to try and see the whole person- tailoring my sessions to my client's individual needs and keeping the work relevant to their everyday life.

I believe that we all grow best when we're met with understanding and patience, especially as we're working through something difficult or learning something new. As a speech therapist, it is important to create a therapy environment where people feel safe and comfortable, so that they can feel empowered by the work they're doing.

Who are you best positioned to serve?

I’m best positioned to support individuals and families looking for flexible and personalized care. Most of my experience has been working in the school setting and in autism clinics. I enjoy working with young children and providing a playful, but effective and evidence based approach to our sessions.
