Clinical behavior analysis is the application of behavior analysis to treat challenges that have traditionally been characterized as mental disorders. Clinical behavior analysts at Behavioral Learning view and address problems in context and strive to enhance an individual's overall quality of life, rather than focus on symptom reduction.

Yes! We provide support to individuals and families across the United Stated, all from the comfort of your own home or office. Remote opportunities are available in our outpatient counseling program; Adult Day Services are provided in person, located in Oak Park, Illinois.

Learners ages 18+ can receive daily support between the hours of 8:30am and 2:30pm Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday; full or part-time opportunities are available. Our curriculum is a focused Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and counseling program that centers on teaching life skills with social-emotional learning embedded within daily programming. We utilize Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) via individual and group treatment modalities with the ultimate goal for all of our learners to be fully supported by their own communities and support systems and truly live a life they value.

The simple answer is: whenever you’re ready. You are your child’s greatest advocate and protector. It’s okay if you don’t have all the answers, or aren’t able to perfectly explain everything. Teach and practice calming strategies with your child. Helping your child learn how to manage their emotions and reactions is very important. Teach your child different ways they can calm down and relax, such as:

• Deep breathing, counting to 10, using sensory toys (like squishy balls or putty), going for a walk, listening to music
• Build "relaxation time" into their normal routines and schedules
• Practice these when your child is happy and calm so that later, when they’re highly stressed, they can access these skills

• Group therapy: Group therapy offers a supportive space where individuals can practice social skills. They can feedback from peers and a therapist. It allows interaction with others who understand and learn from each other.
• Play-based interventions: Play therapy or play-based interventions work well for younger children or those who learn through experiences. Play activities target specific social skills like turn-taking and problem-solving in a safe and engaging setting.
