Not a place for long care basically early intervention. They only really care about the younger kids coming in . They will say school isnt a good fit when they hit school age and basically that theyre ABA the most important thing for your child and should be the main focus . Then switch up . When your kid is higher needs and not making progress to their liking . Then basically throw everything out the widow to poorly fade them out and the ABA is the most important thing turns into ABA isnt forever . Then on the fading process recommend other ABA centers doesnt make much sense to me either. Basically having to fend for yourself and your higher NEED child .They take 0 accountability . Lack of communication and efforts on their parts . older kids dont have the same support as younger kids this is a fact . So keep that in mind if your looking for a therapy center make sure they have older kids you want something steady that wont just dump your kid when they no longer benefit the company because honestly thats how it all seemed. now is a mission to get my child any services .And having to change his schedule has been rough . Any good that was done was just thrown out the windowdo want to add Im Grateful for the RBTs that my child work with . That managed all the changes gracefully and deff showed care in my child . Will always appreciate them.Seeking help for a older kid is hard . So make sure the place you get therapies services from can actually help them in the long run and not until the kid doesnt fit THEIR schedule

At first when that my daughter first got diagnosed with autism it has so hard there is no manual to tell you how to raise a child that has autism. Its overwhelming. I was very skeptical about ABA at first because I was told that my daughter didnt need it just keep doing and learning sign language .Im so grateful that I chose Bass ABA for her. The staff is amazing. My daughter was nonverbal when she started she wore headphones She was very sensitive to sound. They have worked with her for almost two years and you can see the work. Shes communicating shes outgoing she have this confidence about herself that she didnt have to years ago. She has speech therapy as well at Bass. They have become more like family. This is such an amazing group of people that take care of my daughter each and every single day and Im so grateful.. Heres when she just started and her now

Awful customer service over the phone. Submitted an inquiry online for more information and the lady on the phone was extremely rude and dry. I am a parent of a child with ADHD seeking additional information on ABA for my child. The lady on the phone proceeded to state that ABA is only for Autistic children not true and she needs an autism diagnosis. Extremely unprofessional and I will let all the special needs parents from her school know to stay away from this place. I understand if your company only focuses on Autism saying it in a kinder way would have been better.

He improved in so many levels communication following instruction potty training etc he is such a happy kid and loves all of the therapists he has encountered with. This week is his last week because he has mastered all the programs for early intervention and I am deeply sad to leave BASS and these wonderful team who helped my child. Life-changing ABA Therapy ExperienceBoth our boys have received services at BASS ABA for more than two years now. My older one graduated and started regular elementary school and the younger one is still attending BASS. Our experience has been excellent and life-changing for our family. From the day of our first meeting with the management clinic tour the staff have been nothing short of amazing. They are kind patient and extremely knowledgeable. They took the time to understand our childs unique needs and developed a tailored therapy plan that has led to significant improvements in our childs behavior communication and social skills. The therapists and the techs at BASS are well-trained and consistently demonstrate their commitment to our childs progress. They not only work closely with our child during therapy sessions but also provide regular feedback and updates to help us as parents better support our childs development at home. They also conduct home sessions on a regular basis. Our lead therapist Sher as an amazing personality she is kind caring and passionate and always available for families and goes the extra mile to meet the little ones needs. I have seen her take her personal time and attend kids birthdays to observe their social behaviors outside of the clinic.Since starting therapy with BASS weve seen a remarkable transformation in our children. They are now more confident independent and better able to navigate social situations. We couldnt be happier with the progress and the services provided by this outstanding organization. BASS also have awesome speech and occupational therapists inhouse that helped us with being able provide extra needed therapies in one place. We wholeheartedly recommend BASS ABA Therapy to any family seeking ABA therapy for their child. The dedication compassion and expertise of their team have truly made a difference in our lives.

At the beginning it was very challenging navigating the healthcare system and after many barriers and tons of obstacles my daughter began ABA Therapy at BASS November 2021. BASSs dedication to her therapy goals and their ability to provide one on one treatment intervention has made a marvelous significance in the overall improvement of her development. BASS has been crucial in identifying her needs and working with her through treatment goals to improve her overall quality of life. We are forever grateful to BASS and all the staff members who dedicate themselves to making it all possible.

Frequently Asked Questions
Speech therapy is almost always recommended for autistic children since many people with autism have difficulty with social communication. Even if a child is very verbal and says a lot of words, they might need to work on communication skills like:
responding to questions
starting or ending conversation
changing conversation topics
using gestures like pointing
understanding other people's body language
Speech therapy is a big focus in early intervention for autistic children and is usually the starting place for recently diagnosed kids. There is a critical period in the brain for language development and so, it's really important to teach language and communication skills as early as possible, especially if there are any delays in that area. Your child will learn effective ways to communicate which will help them grow into more independent and confident individuals.
It might be obvious when a child struggles with speaking —they are very quiet, say only a few words, or don't speak at all.
Spot speech and language delays like a doctor here.
The goal of speech therapy is to help your child communicate effectively with other people across all environments. This may take the form of using gestures, simple signs, verbal speech, and Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC).
Some other common things speech therapists can help with:
Nonverbal skills, such as signs or gestures
Forming speech in a clearer way
Communicating thoughts and feelings clearly
Understanding and responding to questions
Discerning facial expressions and their corresponding emotions
Noticing and understanding body language
Feeding and swallowing
Stuttering
Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is a therapy rooted in the science of learning and behavior. Using principles of ABA, children and adults can learn to improve their communication skills, social skills, and daily living skills while also addressing problematic or challenging behaviors. The primary goal of ABA therapy is to teach helpful skills that promote independence and reduce harmful behaviors. Here's our complete guide to everything you need to know about ABA therapy.
It's a big decision to make for your family! Applied behavior analysis (ABA) seeks to improve communication skills, introduce productive habits, and reduce harmful behaviors. Watch out for ABA providers who look to "cure" autism.
High quality ABA therapy does exist where the goal is not to “fix” children, make them appear “less autistic”, or change who they are. The goal is to help people learn all that they can so they can live to their potential while embracing their unique, individual personality traits. Here's our complete guide to start and end ABA therapy.
ABA is usually covered by insurance if you have an autism diagnosis. Autism is typically the only diagnosis insurance will authorize for ABA services since its benefits have been researched extensively.
Always check with your specific insurance plan to confirm that ABA is covered for your child’s diagnoses and that the provider you are seeking care at is in-network. Here's our complete guide to everything you need to know about ABA therapy.
“Early Intervention” might be the provider’s way of describing services that they provide to babies or young children. However, it might also indicate that the provider is a vendor for your state’s publicly funded program. This means the services with this provider might be covered by your state!
The first step in accessing these free services from your state is to get an evaluation. The evaluation will help the state determine what services your child qualifies for, if any. You can find your state’s local EI program by clicking here.
When you contact your local center, say “I have concerns about my child’s development and I would like to have my child evaluated to find out if they are eligible for early intervention services.” They will ask screening questions and arrange for an evaluation, which is provided for free.
