Terrible experience having surgery here. The hospital is over crowded and I was not able to get a room after my surgery. This means I could not get food and I did not have a quiet place to rest. Some nurses were great and others were terrible. The nurses were very stingy with pain medication. So many people in recovery were screaming crying and begging for pain medication. I would never go back to that hospital.

I had my baby via c-section here a couple weeks ago and I wanted to say that the nurses here LaborDelivery and Postpartum were wonderful from start to finish. They are all very patient and caring. I had a great experience. Food could be better though -p

ER visit today was ok. I was in severe lower abdominal and back pain. Staff in the waiting room were friendly and attentive. Brought back to a bed with a curtain. N9 concern for privacy or HIPPA but how could there be any. Waited about an hour before we were seen by anyone. The PA and doctors were awesome. I felt heard and they did a great work up. First RN put just the iv cath in and then disappeared. Finally my husband tracked down another nurse who was not ours. She explained it was shift change a bit ago saw I had orders for pain nausea meds and fluids that had been there for a long while. She took care of all of that. So grateful. I cant say enough good things about imaging and transport. My iv however was not placed right by the initial nurse so when contrast was pushed it leaked out. Almost immediately upon my return from CT I was taken to ultrasound. The nurse new that I was in need of pain and nausea meds as well as my iv not working still so I wasnt getting the fluids. They said I needed to go to ultrasound first and then shed do meds and fix my iv. This didnt happen until closer to discharge. At discharge the doc called my meds into the Banner on-site pharmacy instead of asking my pharmacy preference. Waited for those only to be told my insurance wont allow fill there and the meds couldnt be transferred. So now Im finally home but with no meds. Oh and the RN lost a needle in my room which was in my bed. We let her know and she said oh yeah I lost one.

I went to this hospital and was treated very well. From the techs to the cat scan and mri department. Most of the staff seemed like young energetic and very attentive. I am very grateful for all of the help and advice. However I had a nurse by the name Wesley who stood out the most He attended to my needs even anticipated them. He made me smile and he is extremely positive and very pleaseant. It is my truest belief that he needs a raise He also made sure I didnt wait when I had questions. When it was time for me to be discharged he made sure it was done swiftly and with care. Thank you for a great experience. I am truly grateful

Gave birth at Banner Thunderbird and their staff was absolutely excellent from beginning to end. From OB triage to labor and delivery and then post partum nursing staff was honestly the best I could possibly ask for. Those nurses and aides are absolute angels. So pleasant and helpful and really made me feel cared for. Response time was quick and adequate. Drs and any other department that came by were also extremely friendly. I couldnt have been happier with the staff and care me and my newborn received.

Since moving to the area I have checked into the emergency room 2 different times and both times I left feeling very disappointed. While I understand that the ER is a hectic place with varying patient needs the bare minimum that I expect from a hospital is that I am going to be treated with care and that the staff will be empathetic. I have never felt this at Banner Thunderbird. The most recent time I went I was transported via ambulance for dangerously high blood pressure. I was placed on a bed at the end of the hallway and left there for hours. I ended up walking out because I was literally forgotten about. It was unacceptable. If you are in need of care I highly recommend you visit another hospital who will prioritize your care and treat you like a human being.

Came here having breathing problems on Thursday 030724 and finally leaving today 031224. I wanted to give my deepest gratitude and say Thank You Thank You Thank You Thank You to the 4 wonderful nurses and nurses aides who cared for me throughout my stay. I was on the 5th floor Cardio unit.- Shout out to the 4 nurses Shawnee Jasmin Manuel and Jacquelin who were simply wonderful. They always demonstrated professionalism but most importantly made me feel at ease and showed a sincere human caring for me. Cant forget about some of their aides as well who shined just as bright as them. Martha Julie and Brittany.

I came here on Dec 31 2023 because of a high fever. Our provider instead of telling the people I live with to have me step outside for just a moment and uncover myself from whatever blankets I had over me told them to immediately take me to the hospital because theyre in the same network. I got there with a high heart rate that concerned them with a confirmed negative covid test negative test on something major going on in my blood and positive bacterial pneumonia and influenza a so they admitted me. They did a bunch of scans on me even though some questioning would have sufficed. Before I actually got to my room confusion was happening because of miscommunication between the staff and I was beginning to be rolled to a room but had to be rolled back to admitting because of that which shows incoordination between staff. When I first got there the staff I had were kind enough and from what I can remember from before passing out attentive. After the shift change they were short very late to answer my nurse calls when I was still unsteady about walking and took way too long to get me a hospital gown when I told them Id vomited water on my clothes. Now even with my insurance that really is quite difficult theyre saying I owe 10 grand. Thats after my insurance haggled them down from twice that. I and the average american anymore do not make enough to squirrel away that kind of money on a whim. These prices are ridiculous especially for the level of care I received and the fact I was admitted for only two days and one night. One star goes to that first crew that was there at 5 am when I was finally admitted and one for the cleaning staff. Thats it.

Im very disappointed in the comfort of this hospital . Your mattresses are all broke down and uncomfortable. Theyve already replaced my bed and the same thing has occurred. Im not sleeping its 3 AM. And my surgery is at 9 AM. I know the constant use and overweight on these mattresses. Squishes and down but somebody else needs to know that too and replace With Adjustable air mattresses. Also the staff has been very good but one of them seems to be prone to argue and talk loudly In the wee morning hours. Im not normally a complainer but somebodys gotta do something about your beds. Your mattresses are really horrible. Im up dating my post. The staff has are wonderful. Someone has found me a Comfortable bed thank you. I just want everybody to know that I was not complaining about the staff the staff here. Are just great. I was disappointed in the administration for allowing to have mattresses on the floor that the staff have to put up with.

Labor and delivery postpartum wards are the best at this hospital. I have given birth to two boys at this location and both times Ive had an amazing experience I had I medicated births both times and on those two occasions the nurses and doctors were helping me achieve that goal to go unmediated by helping me cope with the pain in different ways and allowing me to have my free space so that I could mentally prepare. Thank you to all who were there for me during my labor and afterwards
