Banner Health - Banner Health Center - Buckeye

My PCP is excellent. Everyone in office is kind patient and professional. Unfortunately the Banner Healthcare Model does not allow time in the PCPs schedule to see their patients when they are ill or have a minor injury. Im often forced to try to find a same or next day appointment at a Banner Urgent Care Clinic. Those clinics are good but when there is widespread respiratory illnesses in our area its sometimes impossible to get an appointment within reasonable driving distance. This happens a lot and is frustrating.

The only good thing is the convenient location. It is impossible to get an appt when youre sick appts need to be made weeks or months in advance. Ive been going there for over 2 years but can never see a doctor when Im actually sick so I always end up going to urgent care. Dr. Willis does not have good bedside manner. She seems annoyed and rushed all the time and condescending. A couple months ago I had a respiratory infection which I get every year and I know my body - I need antibiotics or it will linger for weeks. She refused to prescribe me antibiotics saying I havent been sick long enough 5 days. Said to come back if I get worse. Sure enough within the next day or 2 I got worse called to make an appt but no availability for another 2 weeks. So I call to see if Dr. Willis can call in the prescription to the pharmacy. The call center left a msg for the doctor then called me back to inform me that Dr. Willis does not prescribe meds over the phone she would need to see the patient in person. I was just there 2 days ago and no appts available for weeks I am sick again w a respiratory infection tried to make an appt but NONE of the doctors are available for another 1-2 months

Banner Health Center is a nice clean facility. The staff is friendly and welcoming.My Dr. takes the time to listen and address my problems I have seen her for. I totally recommend BHC.

I have been a member of Banner for a few years now and have had great services from my PCP and her referrals. I highly recommend.

Highly recommend Banner Health at Verrado. I needed a PCP and I found a great one. Office staff is very polite and courteous. I have never had problems getting an appointment. Great place

I came here for a concern that required a referral and was told the ladies at the front would give me a call in a week with the specialist referral. Its almost 3 weeks now and no one has called. Useless and wasted my time energy and money to receive 0 help. This was my attempt at giving them a second chance after various other unprofessional and neglecting previous experiences. I should have gone elsewhere instead. Im having to anyways except 3 weeks later hoping I can make an appointment with a local specialist that wont be weeks to months out alsolike the appointments at this place.

Dr Asta Jakobson might have spelled her last name wrong is incredibly helpful thorough and cares about my health. Shes nice respectful and listens to my concerns. She explains things in a way thats easy to understand and she holds me accountable for my health as well. Id recommend her to anyone

Dr Virgil is a great physician. He takes time to listen discuss concerns and let me know he is interested in my well being. I highly recommend Dr Virgil.

Dr. Pyle is absolutely the rudest doctor ive met. i took my newborn in for his checkup and he called my newborn fat and to put a 2 week old on a diet. He had questioned my ability as a mom and degraded me my entire visit. My little cousin also went to him and his mom was speaking while Dr. Pyle looked over to her and said was i talking to you. By far the most unprofessional Doctor ive met.

No matter what I ask the answer is NO. Can I see a cardiologist NO Can you continue to prescribe a medication you have given me for years NO. Will you please let me see a GI doctor to give me the medication NO. Can you please refill my rescue inhaler NO. Their customer service is appalling This facility should be decredentialed from the Banner system. They certainly fail their own customer care goals. STRONGLY DO NOT RECOMMEND
