I recently took my daughter to the ER for a fever she has had on and off for about a month now. The doctor was very thorough and ordered blood work and tests that I think were appropriate for her condition. I was not as happy with the ER nurse Amy I only knew her name by looking at her badge and she did not tell me what interventions were going to be done until I asked. She also dropped an IV line on the ground uncapped and hooked it to my daughters line without cleaning it with alcohol before I could say anything. I did not appreciate that but I casually unhooked it and cleaned it with a alcohol swab and hooked it back with no issues. I did appreciate her quickness and calm demeanor she displayed. She was sweet to my daughter and apologized for the things she HAD to do as a nurse. I realize no visit will EVER be perfect and she did a good job overall along with have a student nurse for the day. Overall I think this visit and hospital is great. I would bring my daughter back and son if needed. Thank you to the nurses and doctors who took care of my baby. You are all appreciated.

This place has children sitting out in halls. Nursing staff is neglecting patients and do not care if they starve. I will be calling my lawyer to start a malpractice suite soon. My sister us there and they dont feed her all day until dinner and give her water. This is unacceptable.

Whats the point of an Emergency Room if you have to wait inside the patient room for 5 hours. You charge me 10k to sit in a tiny room for 5 hours so I know you can afford more Doctors even if some of them dont have patients 100 of the day oh the horror.I work w the Corporate side of Banner so the absolute chaos inefficiency lack of doctors overcharging and downright rotten experience is no surprise. The Corporate side has no clue how to run a business.

While Im currently sitting in the PICU with my son I thought Id leave a review for the last two nurses who have helped take care of my son. Jenna the RT and Barb the RN were seriously so amazing. What my son is currently going through has me absolutely terrified but Barb did everything in her power to keep my up to date and informed on everything they were doing to my son as they were doing it. If I had a question she would answer it without making me feel like I was annoying her and she always made sure I was comfortable and doing okay in regards to what my son is going through and for that I appreciate and want her to be recognized for her thoughtfulness and professionalism.Jenna came in to work and get down to business and she did so in such a professional manner that I felt she too needed to be recognized.

We were transferred to Cardons from Banner Goldfield and my son was supposed to have a room ready when we got there. After checking in we waited over 2.5 hours. I checked the status one more time with the front desk and I got the impression from the staff members that we were forgotten about and got lost in the shuffle. They told me they were going to get him in right now. 15 minutes go by and we are still waiting. My son miraculously started feeling better so we ended up leaving and not getting care at Cardons. It was a horrible experience. I understand hospitals are overwhelmed these days but come on These are peoples lives you are dealing with and this is unacceptable. I am counting down the days that Phoenix Childrens opens by Mercy Gilbert.

After being told to come here by my daughters family care physician who was awful to us the team here not only took us seriously but also treated us with dignity and respect. I was very emotional when we arrived and my daughters injury was 2 weeks old but none the less they did everything they needed to. Dr. Shah along with nurses Christina and Eric are amazing. Thank you for everything Hopefully we will never have to come back but we are in good hands if we do

We were there on 829 from about 930am til 3pm. This review is for all the staff that helped us that day. I cant remember all of their names unfortunately but one womans name was Ann and I think another was Shae Anyways we were helped by at least 5-7 female staff and all of them were amazingMy son had an infected tooth that caused half his face to swell up. They took such good care of him. When it was time to take his blood and put an IV on him it took 5 women to get him to be calm enough to do it. Not one of them showed signs of being annoyed with him they were all so nice and so great with kids Thank you guys so much Hes doing so much better.Shout out to the all female staff that helped us on 829 Im sorry I cant name drop you all but you know who you are. Even the women who did the cat scan my son freaked out they were so patient.Thank you all

I sincerely appreciate all the hard work the surgeons did for my daughter last week. However we had a night nurse named Sara and another person that assisted her the night after my babies surgery. This complaint is in regards to their discretion on a 7 month old babies pain meds 36 hours after surgery. They came in after 3.5 hours post pain meds and asked how my daughter was doing. The day nurse Ali had been doing pain meds every 4 hours to stay ahead of pain as this was prime time for swelling and headaches. I told them the pain meds were wearing off and that she wasnt sleeping well. 2 hours and 15 mins later I asked if she could have pain meds because at this point it was 3 am and she still hasnt slept was irritable and fussy. They said pain meds were up to their DISCRETION and that they didnt think she needs it. 2.5 hours later its 530 am and I let Sara the night nurse know my daughter still hasnt slept and demanded pain meds. She said that she could have had it 2 hours earlier 15 mins after I last hit the call button. No one told me this and my daughter had been crying and miserable loud enough to hear. They said it was written to do every 6 hours all day they had been doing 4 hrs. and still came in at 8 hours After telling me at 5 hours and 45 mins post last pain meds that its up to their discretion. Then they gave her regular tylonel and not even the hiset she could have had. I said cant my husband bring this from home since its OTC and even the bottle says every 4-6 hours and she said well you could have had it at 4 hours but it was by discretion and then you could have had it at 6 hours according to the system but you paged us at 5 hours and 45 mins We didnt sleep at all that night until the pain meds were in her system. She waited till the end of her shift to give them to her... 5am - 8 am is the amount of sleep my 7 month old got 36 hours after skull surgery because Sara used her discretion and decided my daughter didnt need pain meds all night. It was so sad and cruel of her. Ali day nurse on the other hand we really appreciate.I hope youll talk to Sara so this can be avoided with other children on the floor.

My 8 month old daughter had open heart surgery just a week ago and we had a great experience. Her surgeon Dr. Cohen made sure we were well informed before the procedure started and their cardiology team whom we have been seeing since her birth have all been great. Her week long stay went smooth we had great nurses who cared about her health and needs and they were very patient with all of us. Special shout out to Helena a day nurse and Crimson our night nurse.

My 8 year old daughter recently broke her leg and had to have surgery. For such a horrible reason to be there obviously they made everything as easy as possible for us and our daughter. We were always kept informed of the next steps. Things were explained to us multiple times to make sure we were all on the same page. Every single one of the nurses doctors employees were so nice and really helped her through her hospital stay so it was as smooth as possible. It did take forever to have PT come and evaluate her before letting her go home but I think thats normal at any hospital on the weekends.
