AJ Anthony was by far the best person to ever help me in the mental health scene. Ive gone to therapy and outpatient services in general since i was 7. Im now 18 and a year back I was hopeless. Then after an in-patient visit they wanted me to try out this place. I was unsure at first as every other therapy or group ive EVER been to has never worked. But then i met AJ. He lit up the room with his personality and his ability to talk to people my age and truly understand their feelings is mind boggling. He still gave us a packet everyday but the amount of help i was receiving made me WANT to do the work. And this is coming from a kid who failed school his entire life barely scrapping by. If you ever have the chance to come here do it But make sure you get Anthony hes the best I can without a doubt say he had a major part in keeping me alive to this day. Thankyou AJ and the Banner Health team

I was an inpy at the Banner. University location. While I was there I was advised of an intensive Outpt program that I could continue to receive intensive counseling 3 days a week. When I called them back to let them know that I was very interested in enrolling... only to he told that because I will be having neck surgery in 2 weeks that I am not eligible to enroll. She asked if I could call back after my surgery If I could wait that long I would not driven myself to an inpt facility in the first place. Another disappointment from our mental health system. If you dont fit into their ideas of a program then there is very limited help to any of us that are in need of help. Good luck getting the help you need here

Took my suicidal daughter in to receive intensive outpatient services through Banner. Joanna Shapiro the Clinical Director asked us to leave after telling me that my daughters neck and back brace from her injuries was a liability What kind of counselor turns away a child asking for help
