I came into the emergency room and was admitted for 3 days. I will say I have not been admitted to the hospital since I was a baby but my mother frequents hospitals due to medical conditions and this hospital BLEW ME AWAY with their bedside manner. Everyone in the ER was very nice and I connected with every RN that took care of me for my 3 day stay. Michael Lynette Hannah and Astrid are AMAZING. Very sweet and professional while being caring enough to happily help me through my homesickness. They answered any of my calls quickly and helped me get the answers as soon as they had them. The other assistants who helped them were also just as sweet and professional. This hospital is doing things right and I would advise they give these people raises so they dont ever lose them because people like them are the reason I will go here if I ever have any other medical emergencies. Thank you Banner Baywood for taking me and making me feel as if I matter and treating me with the best service I have ever seen from a hospital.

Was told yesterday my 85 year old mother with a UTI and confusion would be there for 5 days. Today I find out shes back home...I was never contacted. Her assisted living facility wasnt notified... she we just returned.Curious if the doctor released her or if it was a financial release since yesterday they asked us for the 1500 co-pay...which we hustled around all day to pull together but they never contacted us about it again... I believe they just cut off her care.If thats true thats terrible. If its NOT true Id like so receive some documentation from the doctor and the hospital as to why yesterday she was needing to be restrained and today shes fine. Those must be some really really really good UTI meds.Im so disappointed and mad theyd treat ANYONE this way.

Horrible After being brought in by 911 my husband was left in a wheelchair in the lobby a bad fever throwing up no one to assist us in getting him to a restroom. He was left there for 2 hours a nurse came out to call back groups of patients from a list that he had written ON HIS GLOVE He left me to hold all belongings AND push my husbands wheelchair dumped us in a room with a useless recliner not a bed. Then he returns in 4 minutes or less and asked did CT already take you for the scan. SeriouslySaw the ER doctor for maybe 4 minutes then never saw her again for the rest of the 6 and 12 hours we were in the ER. Nobody came to update us on what was happening finally found out from the second phlebotomist when she came to draw more blood that my husband was very sick with an infection inside his body somewhere. Had a nurse show up said your room is ready Im taking you there. When I said wait can somebody please tell us what is going on I was told oh you should be lucky that he got a room so quickly most people have to wait several hours. I had to run after her to keep up as she was pushing my husband so fast in that recliner. The nurse in that room was very informative and told me how sick my husband was and that he was scheduled for surgery in less than 10 hours. After surgery my husband was brought to the same room 6 hours later that nurse informed me of what was going to take place and how they were going to get him up and moving and how he needed to practice breathing yet after her shift none of that took place. My husband was brought back on oxygen with a drain tube as well as a cath which the doctor came into tell me was needed because he was septic and they needed to make sure he didnt dehydrate and they were going to be monitoring his vitals. None of that happened. 30 plus hrs later some ladies came to walk him once they found out that no one had done anything for him and his 02 was low with oxygen on they questioned things at that point it was discovered somebody shut his oxygen off somebody shut his IV off and the battery had died in the leg compression thing. No one had drained his catheter bag no one had drained the ball on his drain tube. And no one had any answers as to why. Going on 41 hours of him laying in that bed since his surgery nurse call button going off Iv alarm going off someone from admission coming in saying his status had been changed to observation when I questioned it I was told to ask the nurse when I asked the nurse the nurse told me it was above her pay grade and I needed to speak to a case manager and she walked out.I requested that his catheter bag be drained as well as the drain tube ball I was told by the nurse oh they can get much fuller but Ill go ahead and drain it anyway.48 hour later still no one to assist in getting my husband up and moving.IV alarm going off again was silenced by a different nurse an aid came into the room I mentioned the IV she walked over to the machine knocking my husbands breathing tool onto the floor on the mouthpiece picked it right up and said it back on his bedside table absolutely disgusting and unacceptable said she was going to let the nurse know about the IV never returned neither did the nurse. Shift change nurses could be heard using the f word and other swear words by patient rooms.I brought my concerns to somebodys attention and in doing so it was discovered that there was pee all over the floor by my husbands bed They didnt close his cath bag and urine was leaking for hours. The NA with me simply threw a towel on the floor. No one came to clean that up until our surgeon came and I shared with him all of my concerns he was upset went out and found out they were not documenting any of his vitals including his output of fluids thats when a nurse came to clean the floor by putting more towels to wipe it up. How inhumane he was treated Regardless of staff shortage patient care should NEVER be neglected Disgusting disgraceful and degrading. My husband said he would rather die than go back there again.

I had occasion to visit the ED this morning. From the time I walked in the door until I was done I received stellar care from every single person I interacted with They were prompt and professional friendly and caring Unbeatable combination. This is my third visit to this hospitals ED and each time its been like this. Incredibly impressed

From the welcoming parking lot to the emergency waiting room to the Emergency Room to the patient rooms my experience was exemplary I was treated as a person a living breathing person--I was provided information on what to expect throughout the entire process--even my meeting with the Chaplain. While I never plan to go to the Emergency Room or an unexpected stay at the hospital Banner Baywood will always be my preferred hospital

Dr. Vicars and the pulmonologist are absolutely unprofessional with no understanding of how to treat family members of patient. They are VERY RUDE and MAKE IT A POINT to let you know HOW BUSY THEY ARE how many patients they see a day and will let you know THAT THEY DO NOT NEED TO BE HERE I am appalled at their REACTIONS to questions and how THEY IMMEDIATELY CUT YOU OFF IN MID SENTENCE without hearing out concerns It is APPARENT they do not thoroughly review records prior to coming into the room. The nurses and techs on the other hand are compassionate caring and supportive.

This is absolutely the worst hospital Ive ever been too. 13 hour wait in the ER. Doc said my symptoms didnt allow him to admit me so had to spend the night in the ER. 500 am they come and say there is a room for me. In unbearable pain from Covidpneumonia. No treatment. In 3 days for treatment. Staff was nice but doctors dont follow up or communicate. Discharge morning was supposed to be 900 am. Its now 600 pm and doctor didnt sign discharge. No instructions. No medication called into pharmacy. They were supposed to get oxygen authorized but apparently that takes about 3 years. Nurse doesnt care. She said its a process. Lets be realistic its pressing a button on a computer. The paper is gone folks. This is all electronic now its 2023. And they just dont care. No customer service. No common sense. No follow up. I wouldnt bring a dead person here.

Please...do not take your loved ones to this hospital. I have had 2 family members here. Both had to wait too long for nurses to come assist with bathroom trips. One had fallen and called out for help for over 30 minutes. Drs dont know whats going on or about tests that have been done. Orders for blood transfusions lost. 8 hour waits to be released after paperwork signed. Stay away.

I had a surgical procedure scheduled for December 7th 2023. The staff treated me professionally and courteously. They had me prepped in time for my doctor to perform the procedure as scheduled. The facility was spotless and the staff were very helpful to my nervous wife. Once I was finished with the surgery they took good care of me in recovery. I always felt safe and well cared for. Great Job Banner Baywood

I emailed and spoke to the customer satisfaction that is put on here under every disappointing review re the care my family received.Spoke to multiple folks regarding things that were missed including direct hospital admin.Home health was not setup though ordered due to insurance not being taken and I was promised home health will be ordered and they will call. Its been 9 days and my family has not been called re home health.A very important consultation that was necessary to manage him properly was not called in.My family member did get a MRI outpatient that should have been ordered and there is a serious issue going on with them that was missed in this hospitalization and would have explained the clinical picture.Poor care poor post discharge follow through.
