Introduction
Hi, I’m Ashley, a Speech Language Pathologist based in Kyle, TX. I work with children and adults of all ages, with a holistic approach that considers the whole person, not just the speech or communication challenge. My areas of expertise include speech sound disorders and fluency disorders, with special interests in evidence-based phonological approaches and Avoidance Reduction Therapy for Stuttering. I’m passionate about making therapy engaging, encouraging, and individualized so that clients and families feel supported, empowered, and confident throughout the therapy process. I'm here to bring you hope!
When I’m not in therapy sessions, you can usually find me chasing after my two sons, taking our miniature dachshund Harry for a walk, or enjoying a rare quiet moment with a hot cup of tea, a good book, a favorite podcast, or an oil painting project.
What words would you use to describe yourself?
Warm
Empathetic
Patient
I want the people I work with to feel genuinely heard, understood, and comfortable being themselves. I believe progress happens best when clients feel safe enough to make mistakes, try again, and celebrate small victories along the way. I’m also someone who takes the time to get to know each client and family so therapy can be tailored to their individual needs, personality, and goals. I strive to bring warmth and encouragement into every session while providing thoughtful, evidence-based care.
Who are you best positioned to serve?
I’m best positioned to serve children and adults working on speech sound disorders, articulation and phonological difficulties, receptive/expressive language disorders, and fluency disorders, including individuals who stutter. I have a particular passion for helping children develop clearer speech through evidence-based phonological approaches and helping people who stutter build more comfortable, confident communication through Avoidance Reduction Therapy. I take a holistic, individualized approach and enjoy partnering closely with families. I’m not as well-positioned to serve children with significant autism-related communication needs or those who primarily require AAC support, as these are not my areas of specialty.
