Introduction
I am the owner and lead speech-language pathologist at Love Light Play, a private practice dedicated to supporting children's communication development in natural, meaningful environments. With more than a decade of experience spanning early intervention through school-age populations, I specialize in meeting families where they are—whether that's in your home, at the park, or through virtual sessions. My approach emphasizes family collaboration and carryover, ensuring that speech and language strategies become part of your daily routine. A huge emphasis is also on FUN!
I work with children from 15 months through elementary school, addressing everything from early language development to receptive-expressive language, articulation, autism-related communication needs, social skills, and augmentative communication. I do not provide swallowing therapy. I would also love to work with young adults and adults with intellectual disabilities as that is a population that is very dear to my heart.
I have an amazing bilingual (English &Spanish) SLPA that is coming onboard. We are very excited to help families in San Diego! When I'm not in session, you can find me jogging or at the park playing with my two pomapoo pups, Bear and Baddie!
What words would you use to describe yourself?
Positive
Dedicated
Fun
I am the eternal optimist and I can always focus on a kiddos strengths rather than focusing on the obstacles. Working in the Early Intervention sector has taught me, there are so many things my clients cannot do yet, but practice makes consistent. In every challenge is a learning opportunity and an opportunity to grow. I am extremely dedicated to my clients and I still keep in touch with families seen a decade ago. I never take a "one size fits all" approach to intervention, and always cater directly to a client's likes and their current level. I am a big kid at heart and while therapy can be daunting, there are always opportunities to make things fun!
Who are you best positioned to serve?
I am best positioned to help families that are open minded, have the ability to be flexible, and are open to working in a variety of settings or to virtual services. I am a therapist who is coast to coast (NYC to CA) so I can handle any temperment. I am a therapist that thinks outside the box, communicates with your kiddo and with the parent, and involves family members in intervention as well. Flexible schedules outside of school hours (with the exception of weekends) are also highly encouraged, but please reach out to inquire about openings.
**Texts or emails preferred and are the best ways to contact me at this time. **There are only so many office/in-home visits available so being open to virtual services is a huge plus
