Introduction

Hi! I'm Alyssa, a pediatric speech-language pathologist based in Irvine, CA. I love helping young children build communication skills through engaging, play-based and child-led therapy. I specialize in early intervention, gestalt language processing, and childhood apraxia of speech, using a neurodiversity-affirming, strengths-based approach. My therapy is evidence-based and individualized to each child, while honoring their unique way of communicating. I believe therapy should feel natural, meaningful, and fun, and I love partnering with families to help children feel confident, connected, and successful in their everyday communication.

What words would you use to describe yourself?

Compassionate
Encouraging
Playful
I bring compassion, playfulness, and encouragement to therapy by creating a space where children feel comfortable, supported, and excited to participate. I take the time to connect with each child, follow their interests, and meet them where they are. Because children learn so much through play, I use their natural curiosity and interests to make therapy engaging and meaningful. I also bring a positive, encouraging energy to each session, celebrating progress along the way and helping children feel proud and confident as they develop their communication skills.

Who are you best positioned to serve?

I’m best positioned to support young children with early communication and language needs, speech sound disorders, and childhood apraxia of speech. I have specialized training in gestalt language processing, DTTC, and PROMPT, and I especially enjoy working with children in the early intervention and preschool years. I love getting to know each child, following their interests, and finding ways to make communication feel natural and engaging. I also enjoy partnering with families and sharing practical strategies that make it easier to support their child’s communication throughout everyday routines and activities.
