Introduction
Hi! My name is Alysha, and I’m a pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist based in Eureka. I work with children ages 3-18 and believe therapy should be engaging, supportive, and tailored to each child’s individual strengths. I incorporate play and the child's interests to encourage engagement and participation. I have experience supporting children with speech sound disorders, receptive and expressive langage delays, AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication), hearing impairment, fluency disorders and more; helping them find effective and meaningful ways to communicate. I have limited experience with childhood voice. I’m passionate about creating positive therapy experiences where children feel successful while also empowering families with practical strategies they can use to support communication and build confidence at home.

I know that communication skills develop differently for every child, so I strive to meet each child where they are and celebrate progress at every stage. I bring patience and encouragement into my sessions while using play, creativity, and each child’s interests to keep therapy engaging and meaningful. Most importantly, I want children to feel comfortable being themselves. My goal is to create a supportive environment where kids can take risks, build confidence, and have fun while developing their communication skills.
Who are you best positioned to serve?
I’m best positioned to serve children with speech sound needs, including children who have difficulty producing sounds clearly and being understood by others. I am strong in developing receptive and expressive language. I also have experience with AAC and enjoy supporting children who benefit from alternative ways to communicate. I value collaborating with families to create goals that are functional, meaningful, and appropriate for each child. I have experience in other areas, but these are my strengths. Feel free to reach out about other needs to see if I may be a good fit to support you in them.
