Hello, my name is Alexandra Aguirre. I'm a bilingual speech-language pathologist and owner of Mind to Mouth with over 10 years of experience helping children and young adults (0–21) communicate with confidence. I provide convenient and individualized in-home services throughout San Diego, CA. In addition, I also offer teletherapy services for clients residing anywhere in California.

My areas of expertise include: AAC, early intervention, bilingual services, cleft palate and cranial facial anomalies, language disorders and neurodiversity-affirming practices for those with Autism. I use a holistic, mindfulness-based approach that supports speech, language, and emotional well-being—especially for bilingual families. My goal is to create a supportive, personalized space where every voice is valued and empowered.

I chose playful, empathetic, and open-minded because these qualities guide how I support each individual from infancy through young adulthood. Being playful helps me create an engaging and welcoming space for all ages, making therapy enjoyable and motivating. I’m empathetic because I truly understand the unique challenges faced by each client and their families, offering patience and genuine care. And I’m open-minded, always willing to adapt my approach and explore new strategies tailored to each person’s goals, interests, and needs—no matter their age.

Who are you best positioned to serve?

I’m best positioned to serve clients ages 0 to 21 who have a variety of speech and language needs. This includes children and young adults with language disorders, fluency challenges, articulation delays, or social-pragmatic concerns. I also work closely with those who have complex communication needs or use AAC devices, as well as individuals with cleft palate or craniofacial anomalies. I’m experienced in supporting bilingual clients, English learners, and those from diverse cultural backgrounds. Additionally, I’m passionate about working with neurodivergent clients, to help them communicate confidently and effectively.
