Introduction

Hi, I’m Alexa Kelly, a neurodiversity-affirming speech-language pathologist based in the Atlanta area. I’ve had the privilege of working with individuals of all ages, from infants to adults, in both medical and school settings. I specialize in supporting children and adults with communication differences, fluency challenges, social communication needs, speech sound disorders, and feeding difficulties. I am passionate about helping each person communicate confidently and authentically while honoring their unique strengths. At Brain Positive Therapy, I collaborate closely with families to create personalized, evidence-based plans that feel achievable, empowering, and positive.

What words would you use to describe yourself?

Caring
Amiable
Determined
I chose these three words because these are the words that guide my treatment philosophy. I pride myself on being caring and as amiable as possible to my clients. I am always determined to bring each client their best outcomes from treatment, however that looks for each individual.

Who are you best positioned to serve?

I am best positioned to serve children and adults who experience communication challenges, including speech sound disorders, fluency differences, social communication difficulties, feeding difficulties, and those who benefit from augmentative and alternative communication (AAC). I thrive in neurodiversity-affirming environments, supporting clients and families who value personalized, strengths-based approaches. While I bring experience across many settings, I am less positioned to serve individuals whose needs are met within skilled nursing environments such as intensive memory care and instrumental swallowing evaluations. My focus is on fostering confident, effective communication—and safe, functional feeding skills—for those I can best support.
