Having worked here for a yearI chose to never work for ARC anywhere ever againafter 25 years.ARC Plattsburgh hires anyone off the streetpeople with no related experience or intelligenceno proper hygieneetc and from what Ive been told even canadians working without proper documentationthen pushes them through state mandated curriculumour medications class instructor stated with a wink nobody has ever failed this class.I was later instructed by a hous supervisor to over medicate a residentclaiming doctors ordersa lie I refused and reported it to the nurse.At very least the supv.should have been terminated and franklyarrested as wellthe dosage I was instructed to give could have proven fatal.I took it to house managersomeone named BarbaraRoberts who quickly turned the topic to how many male staff are interested in dating her.Furtherthe homes are out of state compliance staffingquite oftenresidents have been left alone in the group homes with sexual predator residentsbecause staff were outside shovelling snowsomething I refused to do and resigned.Lara Gartshore is well aware of all these issues and contrary to her oh so humble grateful facade it seems she will aggressively target any whistleblower that might affect her 175k yearly salaryrather than admit any wrongdoing in the homesprogram.The state needs to take a closer look at this outfitbut from what I understand they are allowed to investigate themselves
