Ive been going to Access for a long time and have been amazingly lucky to have Leslie as my EMDR provider. She is beyond amazing and has helped me in so many ways. I cant say enough positive about her. Then on the other end the meds management providers have been beyond frustrating to the point after my telehealth with Chris yesterday I feel worse than before I saw him. I felt like a and he was so cold didnt ask anything about me. I believe that all stems from the fact I was seeing Shawna before him. I started feeling like she was getting tired of trying to find the right meds and basically told me that. Then she proceeded to tell a case manager that she felt I needed a 2nd opinion or to go into the hospital. I am not near bad enough to go to the hospital. So then she calls and said there was miscommunication. Anyway I switched providers and she talked with Chris before my appointment. I felt like I was being judged for changing doctors and I feel worse after seeing him. I will take my meds management outside of Access. There is one other person I didnt mention. That is my CBRSCase Manager Michelle. Ive seen a few different ones but they ended up leaving Access. Then Id have to start again. Well Ive been blessed and so appreciative to have Michelle now for those areas. Things are going so well and I feel like Im making progress.

I personally used to go here for counseling and med management. While there I was seeming to be doing good on the meds I was prescribed. Until one night I attempted suicide with the medication they had prescribed me no less all three. Full refills. When being assessed at the doctors I wasnt found as being at risk of myself. But I was very well talked to about the risk factors of being on all three of those meds w having my suicidal tendancies. They have an instant toxic reaction to an overdose attempt. As someone who had let these so called professionals know my history of attempted suicide with overdose youd think they wouldnt prescribe me the three ingredients for a quick suicide. Shout out to St. Lukes. Medical Emergency staff for handling my citation with due diligence and care and informing of the mistreatment I had no Idea I was under going. But the cherry on top for this place is that five months after I quit going to them they called me for a refill. If I wasnt a good person I definitely could made a little cash on the side. But luckily ik were my moral compass is idk if I can say the same about these professionals .

Access is the most unprofessional agency I have ever worked with. My adult son is a client there. I am his caregiver and also was a Mental Health Counselor in California with many years experience in the field. When my son went in for an assessment he told them Im psychotic Im hallucinating and dont feel safe. Annie the LPC just asked my son if he was suicidal and he said no she finished the assessment and did not address his concerns. His stepfather and I were not allowed to have input in his care. NAMI states that family should be part of the treatment team and family input is essential. Especially since my son lives with us. His peer support person 2 different people NEVER contacts my son even though my son has called him several times. We have reached to the clinic manager and he only returned one phone call. Kim Spears NP is good with his medication but the rest of the staff lacks professionalism and compassion. Annie is abrupt and dismissive and has no bedside manner. She also lacks the basic understanding of her job. My son is NOT getting the care he needs. Hes been hospitalized 4 times since January prior to moving here my son had not been hospitalized for 3 years. He had excellent care in Idaho Falls. My husband and I were both NAMI teachers for the Family to Family class. My son is not getting the care he needs at this agency.

Dont listen to the agencies double speak. My stepson signed ROIs Release of information so that Access can speak to us and share information with us. To be excluded from my stepsons treatment plan is irresponsible and inexcusable. My wife worked in the health field for 20 years and I worked in Social Services. We are both very well versed with HIPPA regulations and requirements. HIPPA rules are the same nationwide so who is using them correctly Access or the several other agencies including those in Idaho Falls that have included us in my stepsons treatment planWith that being said I would like to see how Access can explain their employee not addressing a patient who expresses paranoia visual and auditory hallucinations voices and suicidal ideation

STAY AWAYThis company is basically a wing of Health Welfares Mental Health Dept they willingly share your info. You will forever be on their lists. They regularly work with the courts probation officers illegally sharing information. ACCESS is the main agency used by the courts so it may work for some but if you need privacy expect professionalism this isnt the place. They will lie just accuse you of mental issues if you disagree. Psychiatry isnt done with secret undercover referrals from outsiders. HIPPA laws matter

Chris prescriber doesnt listen to you as a patient. Ive been going here for 4 years and hes never listened to me. I finally spoke up and have gotten a new prescriber. Be aware of this when you are choosing your providers.

I was surprised to see the 1-star ratings here. Ive been going to Access for well over 5 years now and havent had any major issues at all. Since the squeaky wheel is the loudest I felt driven to add a quieter and more satisfied wheel to the overall clockwork as it were.I love my Nurse Practitioner and there are a few assistants and receptionists I can only fairly speak of the ones Ive actually had interactions with I can think of that also deserve praise. Theyve kept this up for over 5 years. Thats a long time especially for continuous behavioral care. Ive never had a reason to look anywhere else.A lot of the negative reviews Ive seen seem to be first-visit accounts that just didnt work out. For those of us with very difficult issues Im sure you can agree that meeting those issues head-on without much preparation for the first time is a large order. You cant expect anyone to have all the answers to your life-long problems on the first visit alone.I hope these people eventually come back since historys shown that Access can take care of me in the long run as it could for them. It was shaky for me in the beginning too but now everything is working as intended and I wouldnt entrust my care to anyone else.

I sought out Access Behavioral Health because I was in need of med-management services. Previously I had received services through my Primary Care Provider. I do NOT recommend this business and I feel sorry for their current clients who may not have a choice of providers. As mentioned in previous reviews their 5-minute cancellation policy does exist and happened to me this morning. I arrived at the building 10 minutes early for my appointment but could not find parking anywhere. I circled the parking garage multiple times and finally found street parking a few blocks away. By the time I entered the building I was a few minutes late. The receptionist that was available told me she had just arrived could also not find parking and couldnt check me in because her computer needed to boot up. The other receptionist was helping another patient so I waited patiently for my turn. When it was my turn to check in she told me Id have to reschedule because I was over 5 minutes late. I think I was maybe 6 minutes late. I tried to explain to her what caused my tardiness but she said there were no exceptions. I then told her I would be finding a new provider. Ive since contacted my PCP who returned my call refilled my needed prescription and weve scheduled a follow-up for later this month. Im grateful for providers with empathy that treat people with dignity and respect. Also I cant think of a good word to describe Accesss offices. Dump is the only word that comes to mind. The services I received in previous appointments with Kimberly Spears were average nothing exceptional and I felt she asked inappropriate questions as well as shared her opinions about topics that were none of her business. This is my very first negative review I have written about anything but I feel this is a public service announcement. Seek treatment elsewhere. You deserve to be treated better.
