My mom was here for spinal surgery the beginning of may 2024. The doctors are good but some of the nurses need to consider a different profession. We were put on the 7th floor part of the heart hospital but in the spinal area of the hospital. One nurse BOBBI was very unprofessional arguing with my mothers visitors daughters. This argument was over a chair that was in the way but didnt become a problem to her until she didnt get her way. The chair I guess wasnt moved enough so she began arguing and demanding my sister to move it before she went forward. I told her to go past then we would move the chair completely out the way and then that is when she stopped arguing and went past. Another nurse named SALLY came into the room and was arguing with the patient my mom about visitation. She was telling us that these are the protocols when we were told otherwise by other nurses the night before and following day. She continued to be very rude and interrupting my mom as she was speaking and answering her questions. After she said not to be a crab because she knew exactly that she was being a crab. These nurses are very unprofessional and they shouldnt argue with patientsvisitors. If they cant differentiate there feelings and work they should work somewhere else where they aint caring for civilians. Ps. KELLY and MERCEDES were the BEST nurses weve ever experienced. Kelly was super welcoming and super attentive. She was even asking if us guests were doing okay and if we needed anything all throughout her shift. She took very good care of my mom and Id definitely recommend. MERCEDES the other nurse was also a very good nurse super friendly and helpful. She made sure my moms catheter bag was emptied when the nurse before BOBBI ignored and lacked even caring about changing it. I also want to mention the great job TEKLE the nurse did as well. He was so friendly and very professional.

Suffered concussion from wheel chair flipping over. Was bleeding and disoriented. Took my blood sugar told him wasnt diabetic. Said oh what do you think it is I said a little elevated all I had was cookie and soda. Which I was then shamed for. At the hospital. I was not offered water or fluids given. Wound never cleaned no pain meds or even Tylenol misgendered the whole time didnt care that I was still confused and vision blury once CT came back normal. I wasnt even given an icepack for the massive bump on my head. I informed them I had anxiety and autism. I was not given any help to figure out how to get to my car or get home. I was still so confused I didnt even register ask for risks or home care. I was told to take ibuprofen which if they had read my file I cant take. Then told Tylenol. Which as much as I take already is like telling me to drink water and expect the pain to go away. What happened to basic care and kindness.

I recently had hip replacement surgery at Abbott Northwestern Hospital surgical services. From arrival to discharge the experience was very positive professional and caring. Dr. Robert Tuttle was my surgeon and I cant say enough good things about him. He was thorough in his initial consultation saw me again in his office prior to surgery to ensure I had read all the material and answered any questions. The Allina book about hip replacement was well written and an excellent resource before during and after my surgery. Admissions at the hospital went smoothly all staff was especially caring and also fun which put me at ease. In particular I want to recognize my nurse Stacy who was part of the care team on the 7th floor. She was absolutely excellent reassuring caring and fun. I am so appreciative of all the providers at Abbott as the job they do is hard and not without risk. We are lucky here in Minnesota to have such a great hospital and talented professionals to provide us care

Update It has only become worse all the care coordination is on me who like most have never been in this situation before. If I am ever in an unfortunate circumstance in the future this is the last place I would go. Allina is unsafe unreliable uneducated on the front line and non responsive on concerns. I urge you to seek care elsewhere. I will be seeking legal action at this point they are a danger to healthcare.Zero respect for time or communication. I am a current patient with an infection. The overnight staff both nights say someone will be right there but then an hour or two hours go by and nothing no further communication. Highly do not recommend and would pick up and go elsewhere if I could. This appalling

Everyone from the doctors to the nurses were excellent My husband was on the 6th floor ICU unit. One of his nurses named Lexi provided such great care. The hospital itself can be a little overwhelming due to construction but everyone was so friendly on giving directions for where we needed to be.Thank you for your kindness and the care you provided

Dr. Erin Lorence-Nelson accused me of searching for a diagnosis. She said that I refused all treatments such as physical therapy and life style changes in search for a diagnosis. Ive had complex health issues basically my whole life. Ive been in physical therapy for over 6 years. Ive changed my diet and products I use. I follow treatment plans. Allina wont change it in my medical chart despite evidence to back it all up. She also lied that she checked me out and listened to breathing and what not. She dismissed what my providers found. This was after one appointment. Ive seen my specialists for years. It was a horrible experience. I also saw Stephanie Olson a nurse practitioner the same day. I talked to her for 20 minutes and she removed diagnoses from my actual providers who Ive seen for years. She specifically wrote abuse didnt happen after I told her it did. She wrote that I have a mental health diagnosis that I do not have. She wont remove it out of my medical chart. Ive had multiple providers tell me I dont have any symptoms of that particular diagnosis. Some of the nurses I interacted with were also not great. The facility was super dirty and smelled. It seemed really unsafe emotionally and physically. I have reported these providers to the board and Im hoping they are held accountable to prevent further mistreatment of patients. Allina in general has become a place that doesnt feel safe.

Been waiting over 24hrs to speak with a doctor. Meanwhile edema is building up along with my questions. Nurses dont know much about our case either but they are doing their best to treat symptoms. We were told we would be speaking to a doctor today but unfortunately apparently all the doctors went home by this evening so that didnt happen. So now we are spending the night continuing to wait and wonder while not being allowed to eat or drink anything. Because maybe might be having surgery Who knows. Hard to have that discussion without speaking to a surgeon. Its hard enough feeling overwhelmingly sick with a life threatening illness. But also dealing with unreliability and unknown is the worst The doctor could at least stopped by to introduce herself and let us know she hasnt forgot about us. Would have made a big difference. The front Piper parking lot is convenient if you can figure out how to get out when you want to leave.

If you truly love yourself or your loved one do not bring them here. My family member was unfortunately brought here and met his end with these people. I wont go into specifics but he walked in with his two feet and left in a body bag. It was truly an experience Ill never forget. Horrible communication system unfit nurses except for one nice young lady and a disgusting excuse of a coordinationsocial team. Save your time and energy for a different place.

Went to the ER with blinding kidney stone pain. Was forced to wait over two and a half HOURS in a room full of sick people with the most unbearable pain imaginable. The nurse told me people had been there for over four hours before me. Eventually I was forced to leave and suffer at home because I could not stand waiting any longer. There are clearly staffing issues that this hospital is not addressing. Ill probably get a giant bill too just for waiting.
