Parent Perspective

Highly Responsive

We love ABA Connect for our 4 year old son. He has been receiving services with ABA Connect for almost a year and we have seen tremendous improvement in his communication and social skills in less than a year. They truly care and go above and beyond what is expected. Whenever I have a concern regarding my little boy, they immediately brainstorm and get to work - producing a social story and other activities to address my concern.

Our clinicians exude joy and positivity, and our naturalistic learning spaces are engaging for kids. Implementing a play-based ABA approach encourages communication and nurtures development. So expect smiles, laughter, and lots of bubbles!

Kids are our focus.

We believe in treating each child with dignity and respect, honoring their unique personality and strengths in our playful environments. By embracing authenticity and transparency, we create a culture of trust and collaboration, positively impacting the lives of the children and families we serve. Yes, Superman pajamas are welcome here!

Parents are our partners.

We believe parents want the very best for their children. So do we! We are committed to creating a culture of excellence where each child’s outcomes truly matter. Our play-based ABA therapy, delivered by skilled and experienced clinicians in a naturalistic setting, prepares each child for a world of opportunity. We link arms with parents for the path forward.

Compassion is the heart of everything we do.

Our team is dedicated to providing empathetic, understanding, and supportive care tailored to each child’s individual needs and strengths. We value our parents, mindful of the daily challenges they face, and our goal is to support them every step of the journey.

Excellence moves us forward.

We are committed to creating a culture of excellence in the field of ABA therapy where each child’s outcomes truly matter. We believe this commitment to excellence allows each of our employees to shine in the field of ABA therapy too. We’ve discovered ABA to be the most effective method for teaching kids with autism when practiced in a naturalistic learning environment by passionate clinicians. By developing individualized plans that focus on a child’s preferred activities, our master-level clinicians help them learn new skills at their own pace.

Founding Story

Originally founded in 2013 as ABA Connect, BrightPath Behavior started as an early intervention, applied behavior analysis (ABA) service provider and learning center for children with autism. We started by serving Austin, Cedar Park, Leander, and Pflugerville, Texas. We have since grown to serve the greater Austin, Houston, Dallas/Fort Worth and McAllen areas through our center-based services. In 2023, we partnered with Bright Behavior Inc, an early intervention provider in Colorado Springs to expand our services into Colorado.

We provide specialized programs for early learners, focused on learning foundational skills through play. We also have a School Readiness program for children ages 4-6, which is focused on building language, social and executive functioning skills to ensure success in a school setting. Finally, we have a social skills program for children aged 8-12, where we build conversational skills, play skills, and emotional regulation.

Our commitment is to provide evidence-based services that will enhance your&n

Frequently Asked Questions

A formal ASD diagnosis, or a medical diagnosis, helps you get the support your family needs, especially within the context of accessing medically necessary therapies and services.

  • Insurance Coverage for Therapies: Medically necessary therapies for ASD are often covered by insurance including, but not limited to, speech therapy, ABA therapy, and occupational therapy.
  • Financial Support: A diagnosis is required when applying for social security or disability benefits.
  • Plan for Care: A diagnosis helps identify your child’s support needs. For example, your child might need to develop social communication and self-regulation skills.
  • Future Research: The more data we gather through evaluations, the more we can improve services for autistic children and adults.

Check out Autism Diagnosis: The Complete Guide for Parents for more information.

1 in 36 children is diagnosed with autism according to the latest reports.

Here are some reasons why:

  • Medical professionals understand autism better. More doctors are trained to test for autism and other developmental and language delays.
  • The definition of autism has evolved in recent years which means that an autism diagnosis covers more conditions to help more people get the services they need.

Yes, but there is room for improvement. We don’t have a single, perfect diagnostic tool for autism and there are a lot of factors that contribute to an accurate diagnosis. There are a few “gold standards” that are used for diagnosis.

Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is a therapy rooted in the science of learning and behavior. Using principles of ABA, children and adults can learn to improve their communication skills, social skills, and daily living skills while also addressing problematic or challenging behaviors. The primary goal of ABA therapy is to teach helpful skills that promote independence and reduce harmful behaviors. Here's our complete guide to everything you need to know about ABA therapy.

It's a big decision to make for your family! Applied behavior analysis (ABA) seeks to improve communication skills, introduce productive habits, and reduce harmful behaviors. Watch out for ABA providers who look to "cure" autism.

High quality ABA therapy does exist where the goal is not to “fix” children, make them appear “less autistic”, or change who they are. The goal is to help people learn all that they can so they can live to their potential while embracing their unique, individual personality traits. Here's our complete guide to start and end ABA therapy.

ABA is usually covered by insurance if you have an autism diagnosis. Autism is typically the only diagnosis insurance will authorize for ABA services since its benefits have been researched extensively.

Always check with your specific insurance plan to confirm that ABA is covered for your child’s diagnoses and that the provider you are seeking care at is in-network. Here's our complete guide to everything you need to know about ABA therapy.

“Early Intervention” might be the provider’s way of describing services that they provide to babies or young children. However, it might also indicate that the provider is a vendor for your state’s publicly funded program. This means the services with this provider might be covered by your state!

The first step in accessing these free services from your state is to get an evaluation. The evaluation will help the state determine what services your child qualifies for, if any. You can find your state’s local EI program by clicking here.

When you contact your local center, say “I have concerns about my child’s development and I would like to have my child evaluated to find out if they are eligible for early intervention services.” They will ask screening questions and arrange for an evaluation, which is provided for free.
