I have to say there are not a lot of places that provided ABA services on Staten Island especially one that thrives on working not only with the child but also the parents. They offer parent training classes and resources to help your child at home. Staff is attentive and aim on assisting your child with the best services for their therapy. I would definitely recommend them.

AFF lis a very welcoming warm open-minded and positive environment. They are constantly gaining new knowledge and applying it to different situations while being supportive. I would highly recommend this agency to meet your precious childs needs.

My friend went on a tour Saturday July 20th. During her experience she felt that it was unprofessional for a huge agency because she made an appointment and when she arrived a therpist opened the door for her not asking why she was there Or What they can do for her. The reception desk was empty. My honest opinion is that its unsafe for the staff and children to let anyone into the building with out any questions on why they are here. they told her give them 10 minutes until the teacher gets ready after she already made an appointment with them. My friend had some concerns about how they ran their school after seeing the children sitting on the couches in the waiting area. They told her the group was suppose to be out side but it was hot. She wondered what do they do during the winter. During her tour she seen that they only had one big room and one small room. She didnt see any tables for the children to eat their snacks or lunch on in the big room. That was one Of her concerns. She was shown the social group for high functioning and they barley had lights on it was very dark and they said the children are sensitive to the light. After her tour they told her they would call her to set up the assessment but they never called her. She called them up to see what was going on and the assistant said they decided not to move forward with her because she had some concerns. She told them she only wanted home therapy and they still refused to move forward with her. One of Her friends told them her concerns and she is thankful that her children will not be getting services by people that run a poor business. Its good to hear feedback its how your business grows and helps the children in a positive way. Everyone has the right to have concerns and their own opinions. Especially when you have special needs children. You shouldnt be shamed for that. Im sharing this story because Im shocked that they Refused to move forward with her because she had some concerns.
