Introduction:

Hello! My name is Scott. I am a virtual speech and language pathologist for children through Adults. I am based in Michigan and Florida. I am licensed in CA, FL, NM and Michigan. I specialize working with AAC devices for nonverbal individuals, Autism, voice, stuttering, speech/phonological disorders, language disorders, aphasia, dysphagia, cognitive delays, and neurogenic disorders. I’m passionate about empowering families and making therapy motivating, functional, and accessible using a collaborative model. Whether working with children, expanding vocabulary and communication to adults working through language needs and refining their communication, I strive to create a supportive and engaging environment while providing research-based best practices. When I’m not in therapy sessions, you can usually find me on stage in a drama or musical, gardening, and spending time with my family.

What words would you use to describe yourself?

Dedication to the field with over 35 years of experience speaks to my commitment to helping my clients and families succeed—I’m always learning, adapting, and collaborating to ensure the best possible outcomes. If I am unable to find a solution we will work together to find the best practices to achieve our goals. My approach uses natural everyday experiences to make learning motivating and meaningful. I look forward to meeting you soon.

Who are you best positioned to serve?

I am best positioned to support children and Adults with autism and apraxia of speech (CAS) who need a specialized, supportive approach to communication. I help autistic children express themselves in ways that feel natural, whether through speech, AAC, or other forms of communication. For children with apraxia, I focus on building clear, coordinated speech using research-based techniques. Stuttering, voice, dysarthria and neurogenic disorders are also a passion for me. I’m considered highly skilled in all areas of speech and language disorders.
